I was listening to Snoop Dogg's "Drop it like it's hot" and forgot that Pharrell Williams was on there. Definitely not that same Pharrell that people know today. :swoon:

Pharrell has produced and written so much awesomeness. He's way older than you'd think (42).

He only recently turned into a pop song writing Arbys hat wearing **** wad.

Not exactly sure.
For the ladies:

Um, you're packed and you're stacked, especially in the back.
I wanna thank your mother for a butt like that.
Can I get some fries with that shake shake booty,
If looks could kill, you would be an Uzi.

--I always loved that this song turned misogyny around and made men pieces of meat. :)

Thinking salt n peppa, but them and en vogue are the only all female groups I can remember.

He can be a super-turd, but Eminem has some great lyrics. He also makes good use of assonance and alliteration, which is actually fairly complex linguistically - I respect it as a former English major. ;)

pants, it is "Lose Yourself." I almost quoted "Sing for the Moment," but I just don't think it's as good of a song.
I still remember when "Slim Shady" came out and people were interviewing Dr. Dre and he was saying how huge Eminem was going to be and how good he was.

I definitely didn't believe him after that one song, but Dre was right. (I know, he knows a little more about rap than I do.) Eminem is an amazing lyricist and they guy throws words in there that makes you think he writes lyrics while reading from a thesaurus.

Digable Planets - Rebirth of Slick (Cool Like Dat)?

That was a hard one to pick lyrics from because their accents make the verses hard to understand. Still a fine *** track

Kstates song is word up. I figure they must have an old instructor if they are pulling songs from the 80s

Yeah, it's sort of like having Kurtis Blow for your basketball intro.

Salt n Pepa's here and in effect, and working up a sweat. :)

Yeah, "Slim Shady" is such a terrible song, but he really threw down after that. It's pretty impressive.

First of all, 42 isn't old, ya ****. LOL

I know Pharrell has behind a lot of great music. I just think it's funny that he was once on some gansta rap songs dropping some swear bombs compare to the bubble gum music he is putting out today.

Feel the beat drop jazz and hip-hop
Drippin' in your dome makes you zone and bop
Funk and fusion a fly illusion
Keeps ya coastin' on the rhythm ya cruisin'
Up down round and round, rhymes profound
But nevertheless you've got to get down

I know it's not THAT old. I'm just saying the man doesn't age. He's a ******* vampire. The bubble gum saddens me.

Had a friend that bought a CD of his for his nephew since you had to be 18. Not sure which one. Couple days later his sister and nephew show up at his house with it. He hands it back and the sister whispers to him, it talks about *** effing in it. Friend stood there trying not to laugh since his proper sister just said that to him while looking at the look on his nephews face, watching his mom say it.

And lyrically I'm not the best
Physically the opposite of Randy Moss and yet
So preposterous feel the awesomeness
The most obnoxious guest up at the sausage fest

You're too good at this

A great example of not-crappy Pharrell

Excellent video as well

Last saturday, before game, I had to take my daughter to a bb camp. So I sat outside in the suburban on YouTube pulling up old videos. AA little envogue, quad city DJs,eminen. Then switched to Billy idol for some reason.
