This is a new experience. We beat a decent P5 team on a dumpy neutral court by 6 in the first game of the season and people are ready to burn the program down because we didn't blow that team out.

Chill out, haters.

I think people are freaking out because our offense is slightly different than what we have gotten used to. I get it. I wasn't completely happy with it, but it's the first game of the year and we got the win. I'm glad we had some things didn't go so well. Now we know what to work on.

Every team that gives us a game isn't playing their ***** off. There are going to be a lot of games this. This was a rather poopy performance. That CU team is not good. This performance was UAB level. Which is disappointing since this team had supposedly learned their lesson.

It looks like to me that this team is on their own plan and Prohm is coach in name only at this moment.

you don't pay much attention to basketball, do you? CU had a tough year with injuries, etc, but they had been on the rise. Too early to tell this year but I feel it was a solid win.

Do you guys not remember Fred's teams in the beginning on the year? Tad Boyles is a great defensive coach and took away the long game. We still beat a P5 school, and really besides the first couple minutes we controlled the whole game by playing Defense! I really can't believe people are ********.

The isolation plays we showed for Niang were impressive. He was out there on an island with his defender several times. I also loved the fact Niang caught the ball down on the block numerous times. He may be the toughest cover in the country with his back to the basket within 10 feet and Prohm clearly understands that. That forward for Colorado will be top 3-4 that Niang goes against all year as well. Really quick feet as a defender for a 6 foot 10 guy. 1st team all Pac 12 last year. Run the offense through Niang in the halfcourt ALL DAY. Great things happen when he has the ball in his hands. Great win over a tough team!

What is the deal with some people. This type Of game last years team loses. Slowed down, defense, rebounding oriented type games we lost last year. Plus we have a brand new coach. Colorado will be a bubble team this year or better. Boyle is a good coach and took away the outside offense. Smart. Hey guess what...we won.

They might indeed be a good team but that performance by them was not good. It's not about what the team looks like on paper it's about how they perform. On paper we should have destroyed UAB. That performance we put out there gets you sent home in the first round of the Tourney.

I don't care how good of a defensive coach he is. Bottom line is this looked a lot like last year (25 min of hard effort) and shows me all the talk about learning from UAB and other similar games last year is a bunch of bunk.

I thought we could have finished better at the rim. We seemed to have ample chances to score, and just did not. Defensively I thought we looked much better.

I still saw some "Aw shucks" attitude, but better than last year. At the beginning of the second half I thought we looked very good, In rhythm I think we beat a lot of teams. A bit skeptical of the #7 ranking based on this performance. Looked more #15 to #25.

That said, sloppy, but a win is a win.

The only thing that I will get even a little worried about is the foul situation with our bigs. I was curious if Carter would get even a minute or two but Prohm decided not to use him in a tight game.

Thought we did a good job w our interior defense. Made Scott work for his points and rebounded pretty well. Thought our D was pretty good for the most part. Agree that we showed we can win even in a slower paced game. We took some bad shots early but shot selection improved as the game went on.

That performance we put out there was a performance of a team that was in control of that game throughout! We beat a team somewhat comfortably who is expected to finish in the top half of the Pac 12. Not to mention it was the first game of the year. You honestly have no clue what you're talking about.
