Umm..never
um, never?
bwahahahaha, that's funny. Scary, but funny.
anyway, I'm going to assume he meant playoffs, and I believe the answer might still be never.

Thought Jake Arrieta had to get win tonight to get Cy Young. Got r done!
What a game! Go Dexter Fowler and Kyle Schwarber!
Poor Pirates.
First time ever for Cubs/Cards in the postseason. That seems hard to believe. Go Cubbies!
not really. They've always been in the same division, so it was only in the last couple decades that it was even possible for them to both make it in. Add on to that, they used to have a rule where the division champion couldn't play the wildcard from that division until the NLCS. The Cubs have been beyond the division series once in the wildcard era I believe.
Who pitches Game 2? It has to be Hendricks, right? Obviously Arietta goes Game 3. Do you bring Lester back for Game 4 and Arietta for Game 5, or do you choose one of Haren/Hammel to pitch Game 4?
Arrieta only gets one start in this round on regular rest Monday in game 3. Lester gets Game 1 and Game 5. Hendricks gets Game 2. Game 4 might be a bullpen day with Richard, Cahill, and Wood, especially if its not an elimination game for the Cubs, otherwise it's Hammel with a crazy short leash.
The schedule sets you up pretty well if you get to the LCS, because you get Arrieta in Games 1 and 5 with Lester in 2 and 6.
First pitch is before 6 Pm Tomorrow?
I'm gonna have take a half day as I have to head back to my hometown. Can't settle for missing 2-3 innings listening only on the radio
Yeah but its the playoffs, you don't need to worry about regular rest. You could pitch Lester Game 4 on 4 days rest, no problem. The question is, if you get to a Game 5, do you throw Arietta on 3 days rest?
It's two days rest isn't it? Game 3 on Monday, game 5 on Thursday, which makes the answer no.
Unless you think he is Madison Bumgarner strong. But I don't believe you do for an Division series. World Series yes. I think you get a Lester, Hendrick, Arrieta, Lester, Hendricks NLDS, then you get a Arrieta, Lester, Hendricks first three games of the NLCS.
Game 4 is an elimination game no matter what. You don't throw a bullpen game in an elimination game.I'm not sure Lester starts Game 4 either, that's only three days rest, Game 1 Friday, Game 4 Tuesday. I think it's going to be Lester-Hendricks-Arrieta-Hammels/bullpen-Lester most likely, if it goes five games.
