2000: Iowa State 27 #1 Nebraska 49

Such a fun game. I was only 7 and I remember my dad lifting me up to give everyone around us high fives everytime Iowa State scored a touchdown.

My first game was Oct 1962 I saw Dave Hoppmann and Tom Vaughn play in Lincoln NE....And the game was NOT a sell out with empty corners in both the east and west stands

Final Score Nebraska 36 and Iowa State 22....

The Tornado game in 2005. I was a HS Senior and we sat hillside. Steve Paris had his fumble return for a TD right in front of us.

Don't remember the game or year, buy some time in the early nineties. Actually think it was the winless year (93?). I don't think we won the first 3 or 4 games I went to. But the tailgating was fun, and dad had me hold the blankets with his flask tucked in between because he knew security wouldn't check a kids stuff. So, my expectations for ISU football and the priority of tailgating was set early.

September 28, 1974. We crushed the Mormons, 34-7.

Cyclones were led by Wayne Stanley at QB and Mike Strachan at RB.

Colorado 24 ISU 14

All-American linebacker Matt Blair victim of a cheap shot from Bad Dude Stearns (who went on to catch for the Mets).

This was the pinnacle of college football at that time.

Mid 1960s, I was about 10. Sat in the North bleachers at Clyde Williams. Don't remember who we played, we lost. The thing I do remember is we punted on 3rd down once. My dad had to explain the strategy to me, still don't believe it was right.

First game I remember was the first game of my freshman year at ISU in 2004, against UNI won 23-0, you know, what we were supposed to do against FCS opponents.

Not real sure of the year, but must have been late 70's, as it was against Oklahoma and Billy Sims. All I remember is we lost and it took a few months for my butt to thaw out.

That was the 1978 Go Billy Sims! Go Billy Sims! Go Billy Sims! Go Billy Sims Game.

Sat next to a Sooner fan that was screaming "Go Billy Sims" repeatedly. He yelled it fast like those speed talkers on radio commercials. Just insane to listen to. No "Go Sooners", no "Go Sims", no "Go Billy", just "Go Billy Sims".

So weird I still remember it.
