Yesterday was the Cubs' first game this month where they haven't led or been tied in the 8th inning or later. While this year's team is very good, they have the potential to be absolutely dominant next year with a little bullpen and back of the rotation help.

I'm rooting against both the Pirates and the cardinals for the remainder of the season. I do believe that the wildcard game at Wrigley is about the best we can hope for. If in the end it takes rooting for StL to make it happen I will hold my nose and do it.
