Morris has made no secret that he would prefer to go to the NBA after this season. But also would be cool with coming back to ISU.

Really excited TJ is staying. I was initially not keen on him being a head coaching candidate but as the dust cleared I actually wanted him to be the new head coach. I'm glad he's staying as an assistant.

Morris has made no secret that he would prefer to go to the NBA after this season. But also would be cool with coming back to ISU.

I'm not going to pretend to know exactly what Monte is thinking, but I would guess Mann is not a dealbreaker for him. He won't choose to stay or leave based on what Cornell Mann is doing.

Iowa State's Steve Prohm will also retain Micah Byars as DOBO, source told @CBSSports. Byars was on staff under Fred Hoiberg.

Excellent way to fill out the staff! Very excited that TJ is still on board!

Whether Monte goes to the draft after this year probably will have more to do with his draft projections than who we have as coach. Losing Mann probably doesn't help our chances with Bridges but I'm happy with the staff anyways.

This is message board type speculation, IMO. He just threw garbage out there to get people riled up.

I agree. Prohm has had two straight PG's drafted. Monte will do the right thing. If he's guaranteed 1st round, he goes, if he's borderline, he'll listen to Prohm's advice.
