Happy could be one of the worst, overplayed songs in the history of man. That song makes my blood boil, thus not making me so happy....

Happy's only redeeming value is that Weird Al did a parody of it.

Is Queen underrated because Bohemian Rhapsody was overplayed, though? Chumbawamba was underrated because Tubthumping was overplayed.

I didn't love Taylor Swift as a country singer but I sure don't mind the last few pop-y songs.

I admit I'm not familiar with her country catalog, so I can't compare. "Shake it Off" is ear-candy and a candidate for "Oversaturation Top 40." But it's also ear-candy at its finest.

Taking exception to Bohemian Rhapsody and Margaritaville. Nothing wrong with either IMO.

"Happy" and "All About the Bass" are the most recent horribly overplayed songs I can think of.

From my younger days, radio stations seemed to only know how to play "Stairway to Heaven" and "D'yer Mak'er" instead of much better Zeppelin songs. So those two rank up there just because of DJ stupidity.

Also, the song "We Built This City on Rock and Roll" can go straight to hell. Terrible and overplayed is a horrible combination.

(AC/DC's) music isn't as egregiously crappy as Limp Bizkit's, for sure, but they were the precursor to that movement, in my opinion. It's sort of like they started with this simple, crappy bro-rock sandwich, and the "artists" like Fred Durst dressed it up with Miracle Whip and all of the other things that can make something terrible.

If we're using the food parallel, include Korn as a side dish.

I'm not completely sure they are under-rated. They are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and they had some very successful and high selling records.


I WOULD agree that a lot of people, specifically younger American people, don't know enough of their catalogue. Freddy Mercury was one of the most proficient and talented vocalists of all time. Combine that with the musical talents and wonderful variety of styles of their songs and they should be considered one of the best bands ever.

I really want to know what people hate about Bohemian Rhapsody.

I think AC/DC is a bit overplayed, but I'd never put them on a most annoying list. They've been kicking *** since well before we were born.

Really? I hardly hear it nowadays except from my own MP3s. Maybe it was way overplayed before my time? I'm only 35 and was turned onto Queen by Waynes World and my older brothers CD collection.

Same Love - Macklemore. If you're for or against the message, whatever. That isn't what made it annoying. It was so damn overplayed because the LGBT community used it as a rallying song and it extended it's life more than "Can't Hold Us" and "Thrift Shop" which had more swift rises and falls comparatively. I just heard so much of it that I can't ******* stand it.
