The only reason he said that was because he knows the transfer rules. Not sure how you blew it that far out of proportion.

One wouldn't have to actually know the rules, just have read this thread. It was fully covered in pages 1 and 2.

But then again, bode is just a troll.

Twocoach is informed and actually knows what he's talking about, just comes off very arrogant a lot of the time. Bode's style of trolling is totally different. He acts like he has no idea what is going on, simply to get a rise out of people. I don't mind twocoach most of the time, but this guy has to go.

Anyways,

This is great news. As said before the kid has a Big 12 body and is a hard worker. Will be glad to have him for the next few years.

All I said was if he's anything like Chris, he'll get some solid PT. I have no idea if he's 1/4 of the player Chris is, just being wishful. All I said wrong was I wasn't sure if he was eligible next season (I just assumed it)

Are you from Bode,IA?

It's amazing that we're at a point in college basketball where if a guy doesn't contribute his freshman year, he's definitely going to be a practice player his entire career. Ridiculous. Nick gets a year to develop with Fred and then 3 more to continue to improve. I, for one, think this is a great addition for the future.

Yeah, people probably need a reminder that Frank Kaminsky averaged 1.8 pts on 7.7 min a game his freshman year. Not saying Nick will every be a Kaminsky, but I'm not dismissing him outright.

Careful with the Kaminsk comparisons.
Did I not just say I wasn't calling him Kaminsky? I simply used him as an example that freshman performance is not always a good gauge for predicting future success. I suppose I could've just as easily pointed to Naz Long's 1.4 pts on 6.9 min. Seems a few people would've relegated him to the practice squad as well.

He's simply making the point that you can't just look at a player's unimpressive freshman stats, and assume they won't become a productive player later in their career. Many players are nearly invisible as a freshman, then later they blossom into great players.

So, you are saying that Naz Long will be National Player of the Year? awesome

It's amazing how dense some people are. I go to Wal-Mart and log on to this site to make myself feel smarter and better looking.

This thread got weird.

Anyways I like this pickup. Coming out of highschool I didn't think he was ready to contribute immediately and that was obviously what the staff was looking for at the time. Given a year to grow I think he'll be in the rotation all three years. Like the idea of bringing in someone who specializes in defense and giving fred a year and half to work on his offense.

You think Nick Babb will be a clutch defender like Chris? How about a good 3pt shooter? Do you think he will have a faux hawk like Chris did? Will he have an amazing dunk against Oklahoma State like Chris did? Will he do that breakfast eating taunt with his hand after he hits a three like Chris did? Will he steal all the girls hearts at Iowa State like Chris did? Do you think he will rock a suit as great as Chris did?

I hope yes to all.

One year to bulk up and work on the corner 3. If he can defend like Chris, he's going to be a great addition.

Love this pickup. Hard worker who will work to improve every year. Big 12 body and good defender.
