There are not any Iphones, Nikes or DirecTV dishes, but here is a lot of snow in those images-guess you see what you want.

I don't know about global warming, but it does seems the snow melted around the ladies.

:wideeyed:

Here's hoping for a great game tomorrow and a Twister Sister win.

I'm not overly confident about this game, either, and mostly for what has been mentioned above:

We haven't looked like world beaters, and Iowa has looked better than we have. If we can shoot the 3 and play strong defense, we have a shot. I'd feel much better if this were in Ames.

Wow - can't believe I'm reading these posts making Iowa out to be this super team. They're not.
Louisville destroyed them by 30, and Arkansas - yes, coached by Jimmydykes - beat them by 10. Arkansas is not ranked people.
Good defensive teams give Iowa trouble. On-the-ball pressure gives Iowa trouble. Louisville again proved that. Arkansas amped up the pressure in the second half and also proved it. If we want to return to being a top 25 program, these are games we need to win. Last year, Hallie shot very poorly, and we still won. Our guards dominated the game. No reason that can't happen again.

People here do it in every sport. So many see "Iowa" and assume we're facing a superteam.

Some inspiration from the 1939 Strawberry Point, Iowa team.. Back in the 6-on-6 days and decades before Iowa or ISU had women's teams. The gal with the ribbon is my mother. Been looking for an excuse to share these.

Wish I was better at adding pictures - looks a lot like my mom - she helped Slater win state tournament in 1950-only 1 dribble allowed!

This could be a big factor. A full healthy lineup is vital. In two recent losses there we were without Moody and the team had the flu.

It was Poppins we were without in 2012. Our guards turned it over a thousand times and we shot "turrible" . Plus we were in the middle of all of the internal teammates BS that was going on at the time.

Those are freakin' ugly stats. 44 points average.

It all comes down to ISU playing its game. If we are salty on defense, rebound, and follow the "make more free throws than the opponent shoots" mantra we should be ok. If you look at past history we've been killed on the line. I'm also concerned with the drop in our free throw percentage this year. Its been strange. We have to be good inside and out. Its going to take ball movement and attacking the basket. Getting Iowa's bigs or guards in foul trouble would be ideal.

I've got two extras to the game tonight - well two adult and two youth tickets. Youth tickets were free. If anyone wants them.

In 2012, Moody didn't start as punishment for being late to class. With her on the bench, Iowa scored the first 14 points of the game.

I believe I was at both the 2008 and 2010 games. Both were awful.

Love it or hate it, it's interesting that this is the first game ever where the "road" school can win the HyVee CyHawk trophy challenge thing. Kind of invalidates that it's automatic the team with most games at home will win every time.

Yeah, and I'd really like to wrap that up tonight to be honest.
