Here's how it works: The Dodgers and Giants split the services of Edwin Jackson, Cubs get Kershaw and Bumgarner.

lol well Bryant loses value too if he moves to left. Castro is older, the most likely of the bunch to get traded, and he's not great defensively at shortstop. If someone moves, I would assume it would be him but that depends on how well Bryant plays defensively at 3b.
How does Bryant lose value by moving from the infield to the outfield? His defense is rough at third, and his offensive potential is right where you would expect a corner infielder/outfielder to be. And when we're talking about a guy who (assuming he pans out) the Cubs aren't going to be trading any time soon, I don't see why moving him would hurt his value.
In my dream video game scenario, we'd trade Edwin Jackson for Madison Bumgardner straight-up.
I'm sorry but anyone calling Javy a bust at the age of 21 is a ******* moron and shouldn't be allowed to post on anything pertaining to baseball ever again.
I thought it was already a done deal that Bryant was moving to RF? I hadnt even heard of him playing LF. Baez at 2B and Castro/Russell at SS/3B with Bryant in RF would be perfectly fine with me.
Soler will be playing RF for the Cubs for hopefully a long, long time.
They'll probably give him some reps in the outfield during the spring, but just for versatility reasons.I thought it was already a done deal that Bryant was moving to RF? I hadnt even heard of him playing LF. Baez at 2B and Castro/Russell at SS/3B with Bryant in RF would be perfectly fine with me.
Soler is our future RF for sure. Alcanatara is hopefully our utility man and we find a real centerfielder in the next two offseasons.
Soler was traded to the Cardinals, didn't you hear? Cards are sending Lou Brock and Bruce Sutter back to Chicago...what a blockbuster deal!
