LeBron can't leave Cleveland again. He would become the most hated athlete of all time. Especially if he left without a title. He isn't going to though and he isn't going to threaten the Cavs if they don't do what he says. They will listen regardless.

If LeBron wants to trade for Love in July you do it.

That doesn't mean it isn't a ******* thing to do.

There is no benefit of doing this now compared to doing it in January.

I tend to agree. The beginning of the season is an obvious landmark that I could possibly see as a time when either team would want to get it done for various reasons, but there is no excuse for doing this in July when the season tips in late October.

Latest on Love:

http://www.foxsports.com/ohio/story/nba-report-love-talks-continue-to-inch-along-072114

Nothing new, just reiterates everything I've been saying.

The longer it goes the less leverage MIN has, and that the Cavs are being patient.

Wiggins has still not been offered, and no agreements for any players have been made.

It also states that CLE is looking for a big man still, and that BOS thinks they still have a shot at Love.

Thinking this stinks of Minn trying to push the deal through with the Cavs. Seriously would you take Taj Gibson and Butler over Lee and Barnes or any deal that has Wiggins in it. I think not. The Minnesota feels they need this deal done now and everyone else is just letting the sweat. I hope Cleveland is smart, only do the deal after you see Wiggin in real NBA action.

That article makes it seem like the Cavs are just going to make the deal when they can with Wiggins and Bennett and picks.

Minnesota is leaking a bunch of BS because they want another 1st round pick. That's about it and it's pretty obvious.

I'm a little ****** the Cavs don't seem to be doing everything they can to keep Wiggins, but it is what it is I guess.

Wolfson doesn't seem to think the trade is that imminent though:

TWolves G Kevin Martin and C/F Gorgui Dieng are other names that have come up in talks with Cavs about Kevin Love, sources say.

One source familiar with Cavs-TWolves talks described them this way: "It's getting real."

Cavs have talked a lot with TWolves over past 36 hours, sources say. Not surprisingly, Andrew Wiggins said to be at center of discussion.

Darren Wolfson @DarrenWolfson · 1h

Not in a Love package. Don't worry. RT @cknuth @DarrenWolfson Flip wouldn't give up Dieng, would he? Amico reported his name has "come up"?

These guys must have different sources haha.

heard on the Radio this morning the Bulls have offered Taj, Miritic (spelling) and McD for Love. I am a Bulls fan, not sure I like the deal, but I do know I hope it happens, cause I want to see if LBJ and Make Wiggins into something.

I don't believe any of the rumors right now. The TWolves are just throwing stuff out there at this point.

Keep Wiggins.

Sign Love next off-season.

Good chance at winning a championship next year anyways.

Practically guaranteed the years after that.

LeBron can risk one to assure three more.

Yeah risk one and then watch Love go to another team... Lebron would be so thrilled..... He's not going to risk letting that happen.

One little text conversation fixes that...

LBJ: Hey <3 you go to other team we keep Wiggins you sign with us 2015
Love: Yeah bro I got u
LBJ: threepeat 2016-2018 you got me
Love: yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

:jimlad:

Cleveland can give him a max deal and is going to have the best supporting cast (everything that brought LeBron in the first place AND now LeBron, too).

With the history of the Cavs franchise how anyone could think like this is beyond me.

This scenario also would require Love to give up a lot of money, the max he can get with Minnesota or through a trade is greater than the max deal he can get if he opts out. I still don't think the Cavs will be able to offer Love a max deal in free agency. Kyrie, LeBron, Wiggins and Miller puts them around $46M plus Rich Paul will get his LeBron tax on Thompson's new deal. But this won't matter as all signs point to them getting a Wiggins-Love trade worked out.

Love is good but wow, he's not near worth what's being put on the table.

A 20-10 NBA All Star is not worth a first round pick, a #1 pick that was a total bust, and the first overall pick that may or may not turn into anything?

Love is only 25.

Wiggins will never be an all star in the NBA.

Real value > Potential value

All of the players being offered for Love are unproven. The only people that think teams are giving up to much for Love are people that get too caught up in "potential".
