That's the real bummer about the decision. He took so long to decide that the crop of quality, uncommited high schoolers has really dwindled. We will likely have to go the JUCO route, which is fine but kind of destroys the 4 years is better than 1 argument.

It is a lot to put on a kid's plate, but if it truly came down to UNLV and ISU, then his decision should have been an easy one.
Go play for the slimy used car salesman guy, or the classy, professional young guy with all the NBA connections. RV chose the fake glitz and glamour that the slimy used car salesman guy was selling him. I just hope he doesn't regret his decision. Good luck to him.

Exactly! College athletics is quickly becoming a joke, and believe me I don't have the answer. And it's not because I am butt hurt, but when these jocks use a state run institution of higher ed as a stepping stone to possible money it sucks. I would say the same thing if he came to ISU and left after one year and won a national championship. What is the point?

I'll tell you what, the limited exposure that I have had with UNLV (both football games home and away) would make me want to run for the hills. It might just be their fb fan base, but it was enough to show me that their fan base is pretty rough and classless. Perhaps bb is different, but I think it's a mind set.

I'm reading into this that they were given some assurances built upon over a period of months that were not lived up to. We have lost out on other big time recruits in the past without getting the feeling of being betrayed and misled.
