could be a big jump for the cyclones in the rankings. perhaps even top ten (but highly unlikely)

#7 Cinci lost @ (unranked) smu 76-55. ouch
#9 MSU lost @ (unranked) Wisc. 06-58
#10 Mich lost @ #17 Iowa 85-67
#12 Creighton Lost @ (unranked) st. johns 70-65
#15 Texas Lost @ (unranked )KSU 74-57

tough to say where we land and who we jump. can't imagine msu or mich falling very far. maybe 12-13 for the good guys?

We inexplicably move into the 20's after two wins. We are Iowa State.

We should pass Louisville as well. They played probably the worst 2 teams in their conference and are right ahead of us.

I still don't understand how you can put Michigan ... with more losses and a head to head loss against ISU, ahead of ISU.
Expect Iowa to jump us as well, in spite of the midweek loss.

The win against OSU was great, but anyone who follows CBB knows that OSU is a trainwreck right now. They proved it by losing to hapless Texas Tech yesterday, totally took the glory out of that Monday night win for me, aside from the fact that at least we finally won in Stillwater.

Should tomorrow be a win, we should end the week at 20-4.
Presuming that someone ahead of us loses, we could welcome ourselves right back to the top 10 on 2/18.
20-4  Wow. That really hits home. We aren't there yet but man I love Hoiball. In a season like this its important to just sit back and realize how good we have it.

Among those, based on last week's AP:

(7) Cincinnati beat (22) UConn, lost at (29) SMU.
(9) Michigan State beat Penn State, lost at (26) Wisconsin.
(10) Michigan beat Nebraska, lost at (17) Iowa, which lost to (27) Ohio State
(12) Creighton beat DePaul, lost at (no-vote) St. John's
(15) Texas won at TCU, lost at (no-vote) Kansas State.

(16) Iowa State beat (19) Oklahoma State on the road, TCU at home (OSU then lost at Tech).

ISU has no shot to jump 7, 9 or 10.

Duke, St. Louis and Lousiville won't fall, despite unimpressive competition; none were losses, status quo. Creighton should dip several places, but how far?

We're looking at 13th or 14th.

SMU was receiving votes before their Cincy win. They are not a bad team and will make the tournament. No ouch needed in your post.

We've lost fewer games than anyone in the Big12, it's just that all loses are conference games.

Cincy was overrated anyway. They play pretty good defense but if Kilpatrick is off offensively they are a tough team to watch. Would love to draw them in the tourney. Maybe in a 3 v 6 game.
