Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

Im just going to post in this thread to say that I did. Also Tom Kakert thinks there is a reason he moved to Vegas for his senior year, doubt he knows anymore than we do though.

Yes there is a reason. To play for a top prep school that would challenge more than playing in Minnesota.

Kaffey stands to receive a substantial paycheck if Vaughn commits to UNLV. Same as Bennett, Okonoboh and Birch's handlers.

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

I wouldn't be shocked that if he picks UNLV, we later find out $$$$ was exchanging hands again.

Yep, plus the Kaffey unknown.

The $$$ he will make in the NBA will dwarf what anyone has offered him (if something like that has happened). So IF, and obviously its a giant IF, he does make a decision based on $$$ and a 20-something felon "mentor", do we want him here?

And here we go with this crap...

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

Vaughn absolutely makes your season/ Having a guy that can slash to the rim to take advantage of Niang being able to pull bigs out from under the rim is essential. Kane has been decent at it but he'll be gone. ISU needs to fill that role. Gotta have a guy that is a threat to drain it from deep AND have the speed to drive around a guy before he can hedge a screen or recover. Vaughn absolutely raises the ceiling for ISU next year from a dangerous team to a Final Four contender.

Man man can.

Let's wait and see what HE decides. It is clear this is Rashad's decision. I will be excited if he chooses the Clones and dissappointed if he doesn't; however, if he doesn't, it might just be that he actually prefers to go elsewhere, not that it had to be shady.

I'm looking at it the same way. With Fred he's going to get great coaching and prep for an NBA career and have a great team experience that may lead to a Final 4. If he turns down a coach like Fred for what UNLV has to offer, he's probably not the player we want anyway. But obviously we'd love to have him and the benefits getting a commit like RV would bring.

Tom is right. He didn't move there for no reason. Most people don't move without a reason.

Tom Kakert? So, every kid who goes to Findlay Prep ends up at UNLV?

How about a live feed in Hilton during halftime of the game?

And as has been said, these recruiting battles rarely ever make any sense but ISU would seem like the logical choice:Coach:Hoiberg >>> RiceExposure/TV:ISU >>> UNLVFans:ISU >>>>>>>>> UNLVCompetition:Big 12 >>>>> MWCPlayer Development:Hoiberg >>>> RiceThe only thing UNLV has that we don't:Las Vegas >>> Ames, IAThat said, who knows if any of that actually matters to him.

Agree with this. Plus, at 18 years old he can't even hit the casinos or bars.
Yeah, right, because Vegas is known for enforcing the rules even on celebrities... it is THE place to go for famous underage partiers

Since Findlay Prep was opened in 2007, 100% of their attendees have earned D1 basketball scholarship. It is a "high school" with a grand total of ELEVEN students, the 11 young men on the basketball team. Here's some nice info on the "school": Findlay Prep: A Top High School Basketball Team, With No School

I hope you dopes that keep saying if we lose him it's because he was paid....are not so naive to think we have never or would never partake in that. Extraordinarily naive if you do. Get real.
