I would do what Bill did every single time. In the slim chance a player gets hurt the blood would be viewed as on Bluder's hands. Not Bill's. Ask the players what they would rather do and my guess is the starters wanted back in.
Who cares who gets blamed? I thought the objective for our already short-handed team was to win as many games as possible, not make a point.

are folks really complaining about iowa trying to win to the end? double digits in a minute is rare but certainly not impossible with the way they typically shoot.

You're not coming back down 14 with 39 sec left. It's incredibly dooshy to keep your starters in and press when the game has been decided and the other teams bench has been cleared. Again stay classy Iowa.

I can guarantee they did not like seeing their teammates embarrassed.

Didn't like BF putting his starters back in. What on earth is wrong with your reserves working against the opponent's full-court press? BF just didn't like the victory margin getting smaller - it's as simple as that.

"I'll show them. I will leave my reserves in against their starters doing a full court press, one reserve being fresh off the volleyball team. Even if that means a loss."

Although our scrubs were having problems with the press, which is why Bill put the starters back in. No reason to be the first team to have that happen to them. And it's Iowa. **** them.

Anyways, enough bickering about the finish of the game! No one got hurt, we beat the ranked Hawks, and are still undefeated!

GO STATE!

Bill didn't really pull any punches against Blunder in the post game media conference. I thought he wouldn't be quite so blunt, but I know there is no love lost between the two of them.

We get it, you're an Iowa fan. This is an ISU message board so I'm not sure what you expect.

Just turned to 1040 when 1460 went to break... bluder is blaming the refs for the fouls that they supposedly allegedly committed

Agree, and anyone that thinks otherwise is not familiar with Bluder. Of course, it is only the normal fools that are making this about Bill.

Our offense runs better - by far - when Buckley is the point guard. Her head stays up, the ball moves quicker, and the other players are more alert for passes. Plus Buckley herself is more aggressive with the ball in her hands.

There were more fouls that could have been called against Iowa. There were more fouls that could have been called against ISU. There were bad fouls called against both teams as well. Bluder also pressed and had her forward hack our forward at every opportunity. She was lucky they didn't call Doolittle for any of them in the first half. You are going to get a lot fouls called against you when you do that.

Bill did his best to stay neutral regarding Bluder during his post game interview but you could tell he was wasn't too pleased about her pressing our reserves when the game was over. I'm so glad he put our first group back in.
