What is the word on WR Montgomery?

For you guys that talk to players and other insiders What is being said about the WR transfer Montgomery? He has been in Ames and in school for several weeks now. I assume he has been practicing during his "transfer/sit out" year. With this extra time in the program I expect him to make a bigger impact on the field next year than even Lazard.

That's great to hear. I've never been more excited about a WR crew's potential than next year. It's been the one area that we've never really stepped up to the Big 12 table. Hopefully it all comes together!

You mean, besides offensive line, quarterback, and defensive line?

Am told by staff member he is the only one who looks like a receiver, stronger than QB, also has good hands.

Well, I'd say it's been weaker more consistently. Name the last NFL WR for us.
The qualification was "Big !2 table", not NFL. Blythe, Danielson, Whitver & Co certainly provided a decent Big XII crew. The offensive lines, however, have been mediocre at best since throughout Seneca's senior year.

Are you familiar with two gentlemen by the names of Sage and Seneca?
Oops. remind me again--which of them was first or second team all conference?

I honestly don't know...

rabble, rabble, another thread with a decent question ruined by bringing up some other position that has nothing to do with the OP. Put it in the other position forum.

LB has been an issue. I hope it's better next year. Maybe Montgomery can play some LB?

I thought it was kind of interesting to watch Baylor "stack" their 3 wide-outs. It appeared to be hard (to near impossible) for a DB to jam them or knock them off their routes when the WRs start out in that formation.
