We will agree to disagree. Georgia was picked by many to win the SEC East, some to win the SEC and even some others to play for the NC.

But my point is if a perenial power like Georgia who reutinely pulls in top talent that is ready to play as freshman has issues overcoming injuries how can you expect ISU who normally doesn't even sniff that type of talent to overcome it. We are playing guys who NEED to be in our weight room for a couple years before they are physically ready but are being forced to play them now.

Georgia is also 4-2 in the SEC with losses to the #8 and #9 teams in the BCS.

Here is the Big 12 Preseason rankings. Look at where BU was picked. None of the teams above them have had major losses to injury. However, all of them are still struggling to consistently win games. Technically, we can say that outside of KU, we are where we were picked to be as far as poll placement is concerned.

Well I wasn't talking about the other Big 12 teams I was talking about ISU. But since you mention other Big 12 teams look at who was predicted #2 on that list and tell me they haven't lost alot this year (injuries and other issues) which would correlate to their poor performance thus far.

Paschall was playing bad before his injury (9/16 for 75 yards in the opener and 8/16 for 100 prior to his injury against SEL). Field was going to miss the first two games anyway before hot got injured.

Out of those predicted top teams UT has the most major loses. However, they're on track for a better record than last year.

Some of you sound like you are rooting for Paul to fail. You are probably of the same ilk that would have canned Earl Bruce before his 8-3 seasons or Dan McCarney before his 9-3 season. We hear ya, you've got all the answers.

Gary Pinkel has a saying, "winning is hard". He would know because he's done plenty of losing. Good thing Mizzu didn't listen to guys like you!

I would trade my soul to have CPR have this record. Don't see any 1 win seasons in there...

...and the same that said Hoiberg was doomed to fail after rough starts in 2011, 2012 and after Texas Tech last year. Rinse and repeat.

Just remember, they're not negative or bandwagon fans, they're just realistic.

So you would prefer that after 5 seasons under Rhoads, we only have 2 bowl appearances rather than 3? I'm starting to understand why you're so mad now. You wish that Rhoads had failed more in his time here rather than improve the program from where it had been.

LOL! Completely uncomparable. Nobody was calling for Hoiberg's head after a couple bad losses he had in year 2. Also I am not going to question the direction of Hoiberg unless he goes 6-24 next year which wont happen and would be equal to this football season.

I would prefer to be building toward something....not the current state. It will take significant changes on the offensive staff to stem the tide. There is clear staff issues that should not be there on a program on the "rise".

I hope I am wrong.

If they were they were idiots. I think most were concerned if/when the transfers would gel that year, not whether we should can a coach in his second year.
:biglaugh: I guess that's more convenient.

This is not a good comparison. Georgia is also playing some superior talent that they could easily struggle against even if they were healthy. The Big 12 doesn't have that type of superior talent this year. BU is probably the only Big 12 team that could play with an injured Georgia team right now. That's what's frustrating for me. TCU is bad, UT is playing better but they're not great, TT is who we thought they were, OSU has had offensive and defensive issues, WVU has used both QB's trying to find consistency and can't play defense, KSU is below average, KU simply sucks, and OU is not good. The injuries are bad and I don't wish that on any kid or program. So, let's call it what it is.

Georgia lost to Vandy.

You knew it when you posted it...you failed to include 2012. It's 2013 and you have the interwebs --you can post their record from last year.

Georgia lost to Vandy.

So did Florida. And the difference between Florida and Georgia, 3 points.

Vandy has a good football team. The 5-4 record doesn't tell it all. 3 of their 4 losses were to BCS top 25 teams (MU, ATM, SC) and the 4th was on a late FG to Ole Miss (38-35).
