We already have 4 games completely sold out. KSU only has singles left and 4 others are close to only having singles left. The season opener isn't for another couple weeks and we are already close to selling out over half of our home games.

Did we ever see this kind of ticket sales in the 90s early 2000s?

Much like with football there has been a strong effort under Pollard to emphasize season ticket sales. Thanks to that a lot of games sell out quicker, especially when season tix are at record levels.

Sounds like the same thing people were saying about the football team

Basketball is a much different sport than football though. Far less people to depend on. Throw in a stellar and proven front court combo of Niang and Ejim, a couple big bodies giving them backup minutes, Hogue being an Ejim v2 who can play 3 and 4, and a talented and deep group of guards (who Hoiberg always gets the most out of), and I don't see Hoiberg ever rebuilding, just reloading.

To answer your question, no, we never had this kind of attendance then. People kind of caught on late each of those championship seasons and didn't turn out until towards the end. A bunch of the conference games had plenty of empty seats up top.

I remember moving to better seats during both of those great seasons in the 2000s.
