Since you've been all about bets this week I'd take this one. ISU has had an NBA player on the roster every season for the last 20(?) years.

I should clarify then: I don't think either roster has a player that is going to be drafted and actually make any kind of impact in the NBA, like a (Evans, Ricky Davis ). The rosters could very well have a couple Huluska's or Garretts.

You watch a lot of Marshall games? I don't know enough about his game to say he will or won't make the league but everything I've heard about him is how versatile he is and that isn't something GM's hate.

I do have enough info to make that judgement. I look at his TO numbers and realize he doesn't protect the ball. I see him ranked as the 80th or 90th best SR, and Marble is ranked in the 40's. I know Marble isn't going to play in the NBA, so I don't figure kids ranked that low will be making an impact in the NBA.

I'd agree if we didn't have an NBA player on our team every year for the past about 30 years, and 4 top 125 guys.

Ogelsby, Uthoff, Gesell were top 125 kid, I'm making the assumption he ain't playing in the league either.

DG probably wasn't in the top 100 seniors before his final season.

Wouldn't take the article seriously. Lost credibility when it listed Angel Rodriguez in the honorable mention category.

3 of ours haven't played a minute yet and Niang was great in one season while playing some 5 at 6'7". Uthoff hasn't played, Ogelsby looks like a flop but that will happen with some highly rated players. I haven't watched Gesell enough but he's only a soph.

What's your definition of contribute?

Being at least in the rotation for the NBA team they play on. Getting 15 min a game (every game). I'm not even saying a star or anything, but at least a guy that contributes night in and night out in the NBA.....NOT a borderline D League/NBA guy.

Not looking likely any upperclassmen average 15 mpg in the NBA, too early for the youngins

Uthoff was not top 125. One mock draft has Kane going to the league.

  1. A transfer from Marshall, DeAndre Kane is a versatile guard who should get added exposure this season at Iowa State.

Is that the same one that has Marble going as well? LOL if you think Kane is going to be a contributor in the NBA (In a teams rotation and gets 15 min a game).

Sorry, always my assumption we use Rivals around here since ya know, ESPN sucks at recruiting.

I just googled his name and draft and that showed up, didn't look at the rest. I've never seen him play besides highlights so it's too early to say he will or won't get drafted (or now play certain minutes a game in the league) and I doubt you have either.

The only reason to go to ESPN is for a score, a schedule, or a statistic. In short, something they have no control over.

I do know. Look at this stat line, and tell me how many 4th year SR get drafted and contribute in the NBA when they have a proven track record and it looks like this:

15-16 PPG
1 to 1 ***. to TO ratio (best year 1.6 to 1)
40-43% FG shooter
25-30% 3 Pt shooter
53-63% FT shooter

Please be serious. If a Hawk had these kinds of stats, you'd laugh your azz off (rightfully so) if I was saying you don't know that he won't be an NBA contributor.

Look at these stats of a 4th year SR who's SR year was played under Fred after being coached by someone else and tell me if you think they make an NBA team.

6-9 PPG
35-43% FG shooter
22-35% 3 Pt shooter

Please be serious. Does that look like someone going into their SR year that's going to make an NBA team?

Would this be a draft pick or NBA contributor to you?
