Anyone know of a place where they list the all time scoring and other stats?

On Cyclones.com they do in the archives, or at least used to. They were usually a year behind though.

Wow, Fizer would have been right there had he stayed for 1 more year.

I guess the next question is whether Clark will crack the top 20. It looks like he should at the current pace if he averages at least 8-9 points a game.

I went to the Johnny Orr BBall camp in my youth and while I was there, Big Vic was there as well (we were recruiting him...he was still in HS). I can remember I ordered a pizza and Big Vic came into my room and took it from me.

True story.

All time scoring lists are skewed against those who either left early (eg Fizer), or played back when freshmen were ineligible and fewer games were played (eg Zaid).

The fairest comparison would PPG average, and Zaid looks to be #1 with a 22.3 career per game scoring average at ISU (interestingly, his career per game rebounding average - an amazing 13.7, is also probably #1 all time at ISU?)

In 1968 (when he was Don Smith) he:
was All American
Big8 Player of the Year
Averaged:
24.2 scoring
14.6 rebounding
Scored over 600 points (only Wilt had done it in Big8)
5th in NBA draft (and played 10 years)

Maybe the best ever at Iowa State? (old-timers can't compete with more recent memories) Certainly up there.

I met Zaid in the early 80s when he had left the NBA, but was still playing recreationally - a genuinely good guy (and a great team-mate, now that's some luck..)

He has recently written and self-published an autobiography "Darkness to Sunlight" that covers his time in Ames - you can find it on Amazon.

So does anyone think Wesley has a chance at cracking top 7 or so? Or anybody on this team I guess I should ask? I would assume Craig would have a chance, if he's here for 4 years that is...

Also don't forget about the 3 point line too. Barry Stevens played when there wasn't one. He may still have been #1 scoring leader.

I think it is pretty amazing too that you have these three guys who all played during the same 4 years. Now this was the time of exciting basketball. You don't have very many others on this list that span the same time period. You do have a few that overlap.

3. 1,993 Fred Hoiberg, 1992-95
6. 1,825 Julius Michalik, 1992-95
16. 1,280 Loren Meyer, 1992-95
