If you like nerd shows, The IT Crowd is great. Brits crack me up.

Another vote for Breaking Bad. I've been watching it on Netflix lately and am only about halfway through season 2, but it is probably the best first 2 seasons of any show I've seen.

If you want a funny show, they don't get better than Arrested Development.

Love Weeds! Since you like that you'd probably enjoy Breaking Bad too. I thought Mad Men was great and watched The Tudors on there as well. Netflix only seems worthwhile for the series though when you're looking to catch up. The selection just never seems current. Now that I'm caught up I'm thinking of canceling for a while.

Alternately, check out Hung on HBO online. Funny ****!

BBC has some great original programming:
Sherlock - a modern take on Sherlock Holmes. Only 3 episodes made so far, but the guy that plays Sherlock is perfectly cast and the guy that plays Dr. Watson will be Bilbo Baggins in the new Hobbit movies.

Jekyl - another modern day take on classic literature. This is about Dr. Jekyl dealing with his Hyde alter-ego.

Dr. Who - this is my wife's favorite show on TV. This is the best Sci-Fi show currently on TV.

The Mrs. and I just finished the original Star Trek series, which holds up surprisingly well - Netflix even has it available to watch in HD and 5.1 surround.

Just finished weeds and really enjoyed it. Was looking for another gem, so what are you all watching?

The new Dr. Who series...almost done with what Netflix has to offer. Surprisingly good (Never saw much of the original). You don't have to know anything about the original "series" too because they explain most things in the new one. It's one of those things where you realize you can't start at a random episode. Nothing will make sense, ESPECIALLY for this series where some things are all kinds of ****ed up.

It kind of goes between sci-fi and just funny. The Doctor is always pretty damn funny. David Tennant was my favorite so far...great actor

Chris Morris is a genius. Look up Brass Eye somewhere. 7 episodes, it was a fake investigative reports show and they'd get B and C list celebs in the UK to do on air warnings for crap they made up but would never tell them it was fake. In one episode about Drugs, they make up a drug and raise it to an MP in Parliament. He's so appalled by the "drug" that he actually talks about it in sessions, and they just never told him it was fake. Hilarious.

They had good graphics too, so if the viewer turned to it in the middle of an episode, it would be hard to tell if it was real or fake.

Netflix has terrible movie selections, but pretty great TV show selections. Definitely watch Breaking Bad.

Dexter isn't on Netflix I don't believe (instantly over the web anyway), but I HIGHLY recommend purchasing the DVD box sets. Amazing show.

I think I'll start Breaking Bad soon..

Hmmm did it used to be? They must have taken it off but I thought I started off on Netflix. I could be wrong though.
