ISU-24 KU-21 in OT. ISU mounts a late-game scoring drive to send the game into OT. In OT, ISU gets the ball first and kicks a FG. KU then misses their game-tying field goal. I then chuckle to myself as I say, payback's a b****.

KU escapes 31-24. The D puts up a good performance, the O keeps up its momentum that it's had since the Mizzou game; however, it's not enough to upset the Jayhawks at home.

I think KU will throttle us if they play mistake free football like they have the last 3 weeks. We need a turnover or extraordinary defensive effort to stop their offense. I mentioned this in another thread...they haven't turned the ball over in 3 games and Reesing hasn't thrown an INT in 5 games. We need turnovers to have a chance.

Kansas gets caught looking past ISU - and the curse of being ranked #2 (not yet, but effectively they are after Oregon loss) strikes again. Blocked punt in the 4th quarter leads to the deciding ARob touchdown run: 35-31 Cyclones.

All that means is that he's due -- big time.

i just read that KU's BIG XII opponents' combined record this year so far is 25-29. Seems pretty weak to me. They haven't played any of the top South teams (Oklahoma, Texas, Texas Tech). Interesting.

Bret Meyer hooks up with Todd Blythe one final time with :14 to play in the game to send the game to overtime, where Shaggy redeems himself for his miss two years ago and the Clones escape with a 38-35 overtime win as the 6,000 Cyclone fans storm the field in Lawrence.

Ace morphs into Alvin Mack (pre knee injury against a cheap shoting hawkeye,) kills everybody and lets the paramedics sort it out for his final game.

Fire up the ambulances, get out fresh KU bed pans and put the Lawrence ER on alert, a cyclone's heading their way baby!

ISU 31 KU 27

Here is the text message I sent out to my ISU crew this morning, and yes, I had the kool-aid for breakfast:

"Blythe scores 4 TD's, Mangina ***** out a baby on the sideline, Clones win by 10!"

Sticking with that logic my pick is:

Clones 31
Squawks 21

My prediction on if ISU wins: CF will crash, and all of our brains will explode. If we look at satellite imagery of Ames immediately after the game, we will see a sea of cardinal in the streets instead of concrete.

And 65-32 KU
