I would like to see both of these kids get an offensive series a piece in the first half, one in the first Q and other in the second Q no matter how close the game is. Meyer could start and play most of the game. We need to get these guys a chance to run and manage the offense, get some game experience, and for them to have some fun and look forward to next season. It also seems as if Meyer was sharper and more alert when he came in after Arnaud played a few snaps-no sure what is it (mental, needed a rest, or examined the game from the sideline).

We could put a stick figure back there for all I care, I just wanna win.

Both of these guys are dinged up, by the way. So don't expect to see 'em until we do, as Chizik isn't releasing a whole lot of info on their status.

probally depends on how the game goes... but according to an article in GridIron today (the Daily's version of a sports section it puts out on Friday), AA's toe has been given the all clear and he could see snaps, though as Brianhos pointed out, that may not happen Chizik is still playing to win

It's funny how early in the year I was perfectly happy to see Chizik hand the keys to AA late in the year when we were clearly building for next year and beyond but I also desperately want to see us win a game down the stretch. Meyer has played fairly well lately and shuffling QB's in and out can be problematic. I would just assume see the staff stick with Bret in every game until the game is out of reach or he gets dinged up. We might be 1-8 but wins are still huge for this program right now.

Jerome Tiller will be the man next year anyway

How do you know that?

In a way I hope you are right, because that means he is better than both Bates and Arnaud... but we can't predict anything until we see them play next year against real talent.

The ONLY reason I want to see Arnaud at QB is because we are blowing out K-State. If he gets any significant playing time outside of that, it's going to be a bad day for the Cyclones.

The way we have been playing the last couple weeks, it's reasonable to think we have a decent chance tomorrow. I say go with Meyer all the way, unless he starts running around not protecting the football like he did on that Mizzou fumble/TD last week. That was a(nother) bad mistake.

Overall, I think Bret is playing pretty well lately, and he gives us the best chance for a win, which is what this team really needs (mentally, emotionally, etc.).

It is strange that just a few weeks ago (after Texas) it seemed like a no-brainer for AA to start getting regular work, only he was too banged up to play. Since then, the team has clearly improved, making the decision difficult again.

Call me crazy, and a typical Clone Freak for getting my hopes up, but I have a good feeling about tomorrow....

anticyclonic stands for those occasional twisters that spin clockwise, no hawk fan here. Brett Meyer must be durable as hell, I do not remember a single game since 04' that he has been hurt even something like turftoe. He is the Dave Krieg of college quaterbacks

I talked to Arnaud's Grandfather at the MO game. He said Arnaud had turf toe, but was all healed up. My guess, they just aren't ready to play him.

I believe he has the most consecutive starts of all active qbs. Kind of amazing he hasn't been hurt when you think about it.
