This kid is overated. I saw him during state last year and he got eating alive. By the time he arrives on campus tarheel fans won't even want roy to recruit jok.

At state? You mean when he was playing with mono...against doctors orders? He's the real deal. You've got some sour grapes. Go watch him at state this year when he's healthy. He has the ability to take over a game like I haven't seen since Jason Bohannon.

No Roy is a **** poor developer of talent. He and Bill Self both have done nothing with lesser talent, they get top level talent year after year so that hides there lack of real ability. They are salesman who lean on the programs they coach.
Sounds familiar....

Paige is a pg, right. Well, in Sledge's last couple of games, He has kind of gone off up here in new York. He dropped 31 on Huntington with like five assists and six steals then another 35 against arch bishop malloy in a 70-69 loss. Molloy was once coached by Lou carnasecca back in the 50s who went on to coach at st johns University for like decades. So right now sledge is averaging 26.5 points a game. Here is a link with his more recent box scores, please note it does not list rebounds n assists.

Paige is going to unc, right. Well, we never play unc so it works out. Hopefully Fred never schedules them. And I have no clue if sledge is as good as Paige or in the same league, but I know he's tearing it up here. And at the end of the day, I believe things will work out

I really wanted Marcus Paige to pick ISU. He is a very talented player.

Too bad for ISU that Fred didn't have enough time to prove to MP where this program is heading.

The NCAA has a way of making these things happen. I hope it happens next April in a place like Charlotte or Raleigh and we beat the living crap out of them.

Really? People are getting riled up for a person who took a better opportunity? Honestly, I'm glad that he didn't make a concession and go to an Iowa school.....I mean if i had the opportunity to play at tradition-rich schools such as Kansas, North Carolina, or UCLA....I'd be on the first plane out of Des Moines.....

IDGAF if he had mono people play with that all the time. You must also realize he might be a super 60 recruit but the espn/rivals/scout don't come to realize that he is playing against iowa level talent. Its going to be the same story as HB i guarentee it except paige will be seeing little to no floor time tell his soph or jr season.

He get's those rankings by what he does on the AAU circuit and high profile camps.

Beat me to it. Paige is a solid player at this stage in his life. Good luck to him wherever he "signs" to play. If my son was good enough to play any where he wants, I would have a hard time telling him he could only go to ISU. It is Paige's decision to make and if he feels UNC is the best place for him so be it.

I have confidence in Fred to find a point guard in the same class just as good if not better. Kind of like ex-girlfirends, their are plenty of fish in the sea. No need to get worked up.

Not surprised.

So, Roy Williams bash: Has he ever had a team over-acheive? Ever? I realize he won at UNC, but seriously they had an NBA team that year. Otherwise, has he ever done it?

Roy achieved much less in more time at Kansas than Self has.

Williams is a slimy jerk of human being, a good but not great coach, and somehow the best recruiter in the nation consistently.

Having seen him in action, (huge hypothetical coming) I would strongly direct my son toward Duke, Michigan State or Kansas if he were that level of player. Those schools are all as rich in tradition, their coaches are all much better at coaching basketball and preparing their players for the NBA, and those three coaches all have better character than Roy Williams.
