Well damn... They will be faster and tougher then NIU. Man this season sucks.

please note sarcasm.

They are fast, do not put it up as an easy win. Their running back is freaky fast and so is there qb, if they are using rennie. However he is not that good of passer.

Go to Aldi's for like $10 you can buy 2 months worth of food. You have to make sacrifice from time to time.

Either that or get another job or donate plasma.

Seriously! If you aren't eating generic Mac & Cheese 5 times a week, you are cheating yourself of the college experience. Man-up and go to the game!

:twitcy: Not generic, but regular. And I have lived this way for almost 4 years now. So I have lived the "college experience" enough.

So basically what you're saying is a few of UNI's football players have a future as deliverymen for Jimmy John's...

All of the arguments about how UNI is going to give us a difficult time are basically the same arguments the same people were making for why NIU was going to give us a difficult time, and for all intents and purposes (subtract the 3rd Q) we pasted them.

I honestly think too many people are reading way too much into what happened against Iowa and projecting what was a worst-case scenario on every single opponent we will face this season. Nevermind that Iowa is a legitimate top 10 team, which far too few people on this site are willing to credit them with because they just let their denial/blind hatred get in the way...

I'm not saying we will lose, but just dont say we will beat them because we easily beat NIU. UNI is probably faster overall. AA should be able to have a great game passing. Coverage has always been a week spot for UNI.

If UNI were faster than NIU overall then UNI's players would be playing at NIU...

Come on we should win, but its not like coaches ever miss on a recruit.

Also speed is not the only thing that makes a team good.

Just watch out for Carlos Anderson there RB

Is this game going to be on TV? I would assume so, but I cant seem to find out if it will be or not. Someone help.
You assumed wrong. A game like that would not be on TV, thus trying to entice people to buy tickets to the game to see it.

Yeah, but they don't miss 22+ recruits, which is what you're implying when you wrongly say that UNI's overall team speed is greater than NIU's...

I love all the UNI students that come out to say how great the Panthers are

ISU should beat UNI, period. If we don't then we're a bad football team. Any time we have lost to UNI, we have been a terrible football team. We will not lose to UNI this year.

Can't this wait another week anyway? I'm most concerning about Kansas State right now, not the junior hawks

I was mainly talking about skill positions (qb,rb,wr). Either way its sad that we can not count this as an automatic win.

The best football players in Cedar Falls don't get recruited to play at UNI, they fail somewhere else and fall to UNI.

Coach Farley runs a good program, but they are not better personel wise than ISU or NIU or KU or hardly any FBS teams ... not that on any given Saturday they couldn't beat someone, it happens - but not this game.

IM NOT SAYING HOW GREAT THEY ARE, WE SHOULD WIN BY 20 BUT VA TECH SHOULD HAVE BEATEN JAMES MADISON BY 30. OUR PROGRAM IS NOT AT A POINT WHERE WE HAVE ANY GIMMIE WINS. OH WAIT WE BEAT A TERRIBLE NIU TEAM.......

LOL, so Schuylar Oordt, a preseason AA from Cedar Falls doesn't count.

Yes, the game is slated to be on Mediacom. I don't know, however, if it will be live or tape delayed.

I'm almost positive it will be delay, like it has the last few years. There's no way we break those attendance records vs UNI if the game was on live tv.

Yes NIU is terrible. Yes they are probably better than UNI.

We have played pretty good against a bad team and very bad against a very good team. So IMO the KSU game is an unknown. I hope we dont skip the game because my tickets will not be worth a whole lot then.

You guys sound exactly like you did a few years ago in the days leading up to the game in which UNI abused the cyclones. You sound just like the hawkeye fans last year that said they would beat UNi by 4 TDs.

We have a really young team this year but we also have a lot of talent and I assure you that UNI will give isu a tough game. We have some great speed this year.

Oh and the jab made earlier about our talent level compared to niu is off base. If you think niu is a much better team than UNI you are wrong. Let's not forget Uni has put multiple players into the NFL in the last few years. Probably at a higher rate than isu.

No kidding, I have never said I think UNI will win. But to chalk it up as a win after recent history is crazy.
