Apparently, these hawkeye fans posting on a CYCLONE message board, and spend there time defending there beloved team and fans at all costs, even if they're wrong, will never end either.

Actually....he's right. There are two threads about Iowa on the main board right now.

So I hear some chuckling from some Hake fans because if we wanted a conference championship, now we have to beat Texas and Oklahoma....Do they think that they play in the Sun Belt or something?? No offense to the Sun Belt of course. It just never ends with these Hawk fans.

PS whens the last time they played ohio state or michigan and won an outright Big 10 title?

My brother brought up a great thought...
You'll hear Husker fans saying, "I can't wait for the Hawkeye game."
But you won't hear one Hawkeye fan genuinely say,
"I can't wait for the Nebraska game."

Just tell the dumb ****ers that now they have to win their division outright to even have a shot at the Championship. No more sharing the thing.

I can see it now after losing in the title game two years in a row...

Back to Back: Big Ten West Division Champs!!! reap it!

It would be like Iowa fans getting over joyed to play at Texas... Or Ohio State. Go ahead, Make the proclaimation... let's see who jumps on that band wagon. :dull:

Isn't every thing relative to the season? For example this last season most all Hawk fans were looking forward to playing tOSU until Stanzi went down. And why wouldn't we? We were 9-0 at the time. Like I said, everything is relative. In 2002 I lived in Ames and I fully remember ISU fans looking toward the Oklahoma game. We all know how that ended. When your playing good you look forward to the hard games. When playing bad, you dread them. It's not an Iowa thing at all. As of right now, coming off our good season, I am fully looking forward to Nebby. Of course we won't get the chance until next year, but yes, I am looking forward to it.

Hey tell me something? Why don't you guys play Ohio St. every year? But you'll be damned if you don't have Northwestern and Indiana on your schedule. Gospel truth.

Iowa gets to make their own conference schedule?

And we last missed NW in 03 and 04.

I believe the only teams Iowa is guaranteed to play every year are Minnesota and Wisconsin. The others are all on a rotation, when they go off the rotation it is a 2 year off-schedule period (home & home). 2009/2010 see Purdue and Illinois off the schedule. Two of the BT's worst teams.

Iowa has no control over their conference schedule. They miss two teams every year; last year it was Illinois and Purdue, and it'll be that way again this year.

It's funny though, because I think the Big XII adds two more teams before all is said and done, so there will be a conference championship.

However, if not, oh well. I'm still happy with how this has turned out

Even better with 12 teams Big Ten will have a champ game so no way will 2 teams get BCS bids or at least no more free 2 bcs bid becuase they don't play champ game.

When was the last time Iowa won the Big 10 outright?
