Beacause jokes, generally speaking, make things better. I doubt if this group exists, but it could. There are some real whack jobs out there and they do unimaginable things. Look at some of the cults, mass suicides, secret societys. I would think if there is a group, there would be a little more credible theories than what links all these together.
so i should make jokes about 9/11, terrorism, AIDs, Haiti, cancer and Darfur to make things better?
I really dont understand why people have to come here bashing posters who wanted to discuss a possible theory. You got mad that it was brought up in the missing student thread, and now theres a thread of its own, and you come here and act like complete ********... even a moderator.... very classy isucyfan. Who really knows whos possibly abducting these college kids, or if its just coincidental.. Theres information to back both sides. But I really dont get why some of you have to be complete ******** and throw out the theory of SFK...
I hate to jump in on this conversation late, but did you really just compare a Serial Killer theory to the above. I think the theory might have some legs, but come on. You are talking about mass deaths with most of these. Not 40 possibly related deaths.
That settles it then. If he has a hunch and mortgages his house, it must be serial killers then.

For crying out loud, I'm a grain broker and have been in the grain trade for 15 yrs. I have a hunch that corn could go higher so I'm going to go mortgage my house to go long on corn. I know the grain trade so obviously my experience gives me clout so everyone should believe me and do the same....or at least believe me. If I'm wrong, then I'm just a broke grain broker...
I guess if I just sent out my email with the current advice with a :smile: on it, that would mean instant credibility. Could it be that easy?

isucyfan didn't say anything offensive to anyone - he provided an argument against a claim made by someone else. It's the point of a debate, which is what this thread is. I'm sure there are web forums out there that are all pro-SFK theory, but this is a board that welcomes debate on both sides of the issue. If people don't want to debate a theory, I probably wouldn't post it in the Off-Topic on CF.
The reason that people "got mad" about it being brought up in the missing student thread is because that thread is about support for the family/friends of a missing student, facts, and evidence about HIM, not a theory.
I fail to see how SFK relates to alien abductions. I can prove that people kill each other and also that serial killers exist. I can't prove that aliens exist. They aren't even on the same page. It's frustrating someone would actually lump UFOs and aliens in the same picture as a bunch of killings.
To me it shows an ineptness in logical thought to think that this isn't feasible. Aliens, or a serial killer. Isn't there 5-10 serial killers "working" in the US at any given time? What is so unbelievable about a serial killer again?
SO that allows them to come into a thread and be complete ******** about people discussing a plausible theory? Theres a fine line between debating and being complete *******, but maybe im just a naive 20 year old.
