I think mentioning Pollard with what just happened is totally relevant. His decisions have made a complete mess of our football program.

This post makes absolutely no sense. Jamie Pollard wasn't on the field or sidelines today. Just give it a rest if it's not relevant. We get it, you don't like him.

I really dont dislike Jamie P ...I just detest where he is taking this football program!!!!

I must confess that this morning when I heard Jamie make the comment about something big...I started laughing, because thats the same thing Jamie said when he hired Gene Chizik....And I actually believed Jamie back then....Along with some other clone fans...If jamie sez the sun is shining I will look out the window to make sure .....

I've got all of this spilt milk over here, and I don't know what to do about it...

The players from Chiziks classes are largely redhsirt freshmen and sops, especially the better latter clas. They have tons of time to show what they can do.

Yes they are. But if you didn't notice, a lot of players who made big plays for Iowa today (Sash, McNutt, Robinson, Wegher, Davis, Reiff, etc.) are sophomores and freshmen also, including true freshmen. So the "we're young" excuse about Chiz' players doesn't quite fly.

believe me. If you were a fly on the wall in the athletic department over the last several years of the new AD you would have a lot more than milk to worry about. this I know.

Oh great, is this going to turn into a "i know something you dont know" conversation. Those are well respected here.

I understand, but you'll have to know that these types of posts usually get a lot of crap for being unsubstantiated here, unless proof is provided.

As much crap as Pollard catches from both ISU and Iowa fans I am not sure what else fans expect him to say. You might wish he would tone it down a little but really would you rather have an upbeat optimistic face for the program or Eeyore out there saying "Thanks for noticing us, everything sucks..."

Also he tends to get under our skin so that has to count for something. lol

This is not on the coaches, even though I didn't love the offensive play calling. The talent on the field is POOR. Especially on defense. Iowa State's defense is as bad as I've ever seen a D1 program. The front 7 is down right awful.

This can't be quoted enough for how true it is. Until we have a front 4 who can put pressure on a QB without having to blitz every play, we will have an awful defense. You can't let division 1 quarterbacks sit in the pocket for 10 minutes and scan every receiver 23 times. Our defense is one of the slowest defenses I've ever seen sideline to sideline. I'd be willing to bet Iowa's defensive linemen run sideline to sideline as well as our linebackers. Our defensive backs don't have a chance in hell.

Burnham knows it. I would love to hear what goes on in his head.

Let's see, Darks and Sed Johnson are injured. That leaves Keleche Osemele, Scott Haughton, Collin Franklin, Chris Lyle and Leonard Johnson as some few names that I could toss out there. The difference between them and the guys you mentioned are that those guys complement an already existing structure, and ours are the ones the framework is being built around.

However, I've always noted that subtleties are beyond some people....
