NFL: ***Official Week Six Thread***

The Pats get a light scrimmage in against the Giants without Saquon Barkley, Wayne Gallman, Evan Engram, and Sterling Shepard tonight.

Best of Week Six:

HOU @ KC - On paper it should be a shootout. I'm pulling for the Chiefs to get right and do the COlts a solid by knocking off their only serious competition for the AFC South. Getting Tyreek Hill back in the fold will be huge for them if he's activated for this one.

PHI @ MIN - I don't know what to make of this one. I think the Eagles pull it off but they've been a little up and down so it's tough to know which team is going to show up. Could have big postseason implications since both teams could be fighting for a wild card down the stretch.

SF @ LA Rams - Big NFC West game. It's too early for any game to be an elimination game but a loss for the Rams would put them at 3-3, trailing the Niners and Seahawks in the division.

DET @ GB - The Lions have a shot at bringing Green Bay back to the pack in the North.

MIA @ WSH - Sheer morbid curiosity. The team actively trying to lose vs. the team that unintentionally sucks. The loser will be the winner, with the inside track on the first overall pick.

PFF Starting QB Rankings through week 6

Purdy checks in at #9!

9. IOWA STATE: BROCK PURDY
Following up an incredible season in 2018, Purdy is hitting his stride despite two losses to start the 2019 season. Much like the aforementioned Huntley, Purdy is dominant on throws targeted at least 10 yards downfield, completing 43-of-74 attempts for 945 yards and eight touchdowns. He’s thrown nine big-time throws on such attempts and is an exceptional athlete with the ball in his hands. He’s ripped off 246 yards on the ground so far this year including five touchdowns and six carries of at least 10 yards. With elite game grades in his bag, the sky is limit as the Cyclones push through Big 12 play this year.

Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal

Has anyone else checked this show out this week?

Tartakovsky is considered a master of animation and based on the first episode, Primal is only going to add to his legend. No dialogue. Just music, ambient noise, and guttural howls as the main character stabs, strangles, and bludgeons his way through foe after foe. It's not for children. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest.

Power of Cyclone online voting

Just dropping this here if anyone feels like voting. Muscatine is one of many towns in the running for a free custom graphic for a water tower. Their slogan is "It's in the Water" if you would be so kind as to vote.

(although heavy Hawk territory, I have noticed a dramatic increase in Cyclone presence in town over the 30 years I have been here. Lot's of engineers and tech people in town.)

Bank won't deposit my change?

Is this a thing now where banks won't take change and deposit it into your account? I went to my BofA branch this morning and took in a cup of change. It's a 32oz cup about 2/3 full. Probably weighs 5 lbs. I don't know when the last time I did this was, at least a few years.

Before I say anything, she says we don't take change. I say I don't want cash, I want it deposited into my account. Send it off, do whatever, I don't care. She says no, sorry, we don't do that. She then recommends I go to the grocery store and dump it into the machine. Which I'm absolutely not doing.

Is this common practice at banks now? I'm a bit flabbergasted that a bank won't deposit money into my account, even if it is change.

Insider Information Weekly Mailbag 10-9-2019

Presented by Glenlivet pods: Finally. An explosion in your mouth that you’ll want to swallow. Glenlivet - the premier name in whiskey.

Dandy shares with us his recent dating experiences: Did y'all hear the new thing going around the interwebs called cockfishing? It's like catfishing but you send pics of other dude's bigger-than-your's dongs to get the girl's attention but then when it gets down to the dirty deed you are not as impressive as the picture. Can I already ask you to write about cockfishing in next week's Insider Info mailbag?

Doc wonders: Is there a way to know if your **** pics are being used to cockfish?

GTO: How does that even work? Does their **** have to go tanning to match the shade of the one in the picture, so as not to make it too obvious? Will girls have to start asking for the picture to be taken next to a quarter and with two forms of ID? So many questions. Doc - are you referring to your own, or the one you found on the internet to use for your own cockfishing?
Pants: I think you would probably have a pretty good idea, if you’re being honest with yourself, by looking at it if your own **** is being used to cockfish.
GTO: I think mine could be used to cockfish, but only in Asia..

Jcyclonee asks: To start off next week's mailbag questions early - Since you guys have already surpassed the writing skills of the CF staff, when are you going to start your new ISU fans website? Maybe call it Cyclone Fanatic Part Deux.

Pants: I’ve already been discussing this with GTO. Obviously there’s some time and effort that go into making a good website, but we’re working on finding a quality Angelfire host for our website. The process would definitely be expedited if we can get to 200 patrons on our Patreon page.
GTO: I’m probably just thinking as a website to be a repository of the mailbag itself. Maybe it grows into something more, but not trying to dethrone WRNL as the official Cyclone humor website.

Cy$ with the indecent proposal: getting BodeClone on your next one would help boost ratings, jmo.
If you want I'll ask him

GTO: Cy$ and I used to be pretty tight a few years ago. Until he sided with BodeClone and betrayed me.
Pants: **** that guy. GTO, please make sure to post the picture of BodeClone here.
GTO: I’ll have to look to see if I can find that.

BCClone with the application question: With the concern of sunburn and melanoma. When at the nude beach, how do you apply sunscreen to your junk without making it look like you’re pleasuring yourself?

Pants: I don’t use sunscreen for it, I have a sun hat that I put on it instead. It’s better for the environment than sunscreen.
GTO: This one is actually pretty simple. Step 1: squirt all contents of sunscreen bottle into a bucket. Step 2: place bucket on ground. Step 3: squat onto bucket and dip (just like a dipped ice cream cone). Step 4: ? Step 5: Profit

On That Note: Out of this World Part 1

Welcome back to "On That Note," a CF music series hosted by @MeanDean , @cyclones500 and me.

This week our topic focuses on outer space. We are looking for songs titles or lyrics that mention a specific planet name. If your planet name is in the lyrics please post the lyric that satisfies the theme. We will allow submissions of groups or individual acts with a planet name but drawing the line at groups with a band member with a planet name i.e. No Queen because lead singer is Freddie Mercury.

Right now we are just looking for planets. Later we will have a Part 2 with a focus on Sun and Moon.
