iOS 13.1.3 Software Updating Problems

Like post IPhone users, the latest update is out and you should be seeing or have seen an update on your Iphone, Ipad, etc. Wife and I both have the 6s+ Iphones.

I got it Saturday and started the download process on Sunday. Problem is that is still has not completed as of 11 am this morning. It just gives me an "estimated time remaining...." The symbol keeps turning as it is supposed to. Wife updated her phone with no issues.

There is no way of stopping this from what I have seen and read. I did have some WiFi issues and went and reset my network setting. Anyone else ever deal with this kind of issue on a software update download?

NFL: New Bears QB?

Hadn't seen this posted here:

https://www.bleachernation.com/bear...ors-pop-up-for-the-bears-to-replace-trubisky/

I started to hear people talk about trading for QB Sunday and Monday. Mitch just isn't the guy, never was going to be the guy.

Cam or Foles? Thoughts? Neither blow my hair back, but anything is better than what we have. A new QB won't fix the O-Line either.

I just didn't see the Bears being this big of a dumpster fire when the year started.

Coaches' Win Percentages

This weekend's win pushed CMC's win percentage at Iowa State to .533 (24-21-0), nudging him past Earl Bruce's .529 win percentage (36-32-0) for the highest winning percentage in the modern era at Iowa State. I realize it's only 3+ seasons so far, but I thought it was a noteworthy milestone.

Just to put this in perspective, here are the winning percentages of everyone who has been head coach since 1960. As a fan born in 1970, the bottom 5 coaches on that list (plus Matt Campbell) are the coaches I most associate with Iowa State.

Matt Campbell .533 (24-21-0) 2016-present
Earle Bruce .529 (36-32-0) 1973–1978
Chuck Banker .500 (1-1-0) 1986-1986
Johnny Majors .445 (24-30-1) 1968–1972
Clay Stapleton .444 (42-53-4) 1958–1967
Donnie Duncan .432 (18-24-2) 1979–1982
Jim Criner .405 (16-24-2) 1983–1986
Dan McCarney .397 (56-85-0) 1995–2006
Paul Rhoads .368 (32-55-0) 2009–2015
Jim Walden .335 (28-57-3) 1987–1994
Gene Chizik .208 (5-19-0) 2007–2008

Help! I'm Fat - *** Official Exercise and Weight Thread ***

Hey Fellow Fanatics,

This is going to be pretty humbling for me to right this, but I think I gotta or else its only going to get worse. i have a serious problem on my hands. It is one that probably many of us face. We know it's a problem. We know that WE are doing it to ourselves. We feel guilt ever time we make the problem worse. But, we continue with our habits. In my case, it hadn't always been this way, but it is now.

I have got to face the facts. I'm fat. and only getting fatter.

A few months ago, I posted what order at five guys in its respective thread and stated how I spend $25 and don't even get full. I got a barrage of replies about how that's so much food and GIFs of fat bastard from the Austin Powers movies. I did take those as jokes, but I felt AWFUL because I did it to myself.

Well, I've gained 10 pounds since that post. I am now up to 270lbs. I entered college at 170, left 225. My back and knees always hurt. I have EMBARRASING stretch marks on my stomach. I get out of breath just walking up the stairs. My blood pressure is 160/90. None of my clothes fit (and I refuse to bigger clothes since I know it's because I'm gaining weight.

I need things to change or I'm going to die. If not, I'll be stricken with a life of painful knees and disdain for having to walk up stairs.

Therefore, I will begin my weight loss journey on November 1st with a goal of losing 50 pounds by April 1st. If I do not lose the weight, I will donate $400 to one of Cyclone Fanatics Charities. To make sure I'm not cheating, I will be positing my weight every Friday.

I'm writing this post so that I have accountability and to see if anyone else feels the same way and wants to join me.

B.T.W. Feel free to make fun of me for being fat. It will only motivate me.

Year End Vacation Idea's

I need your thoughts...please.

We are a family of 5 looking for recommendations for a vacation towards the end of the year / early next year. Probably five days...would like to stay in the states. Time frame would be after Christmas through first week of January - one is in college.

Family enjoys warmer climate (we have made several trips to Caribbean in the past), and we are all 18+.

Thank you for any helpful advice.

Volleyball RPI through 11/3

Despite recent results, ISU is #28 in the RPI:

ankinhttps://www.ncaa.com/rgs/volleyball-women/d1/ncaa-womens-volleyball-rpi

The team was basically non-competitive in the first two sets at OU on Saturday. Did manage to win the 3rd set by two points and then got blitzed in the 4th set. To not finish 3rd or higher in the conference this season would be disappointing and to miss the NCAAs for the second straight season would be even more disappointing.

Schuler is only player I am aware that may have injury issues impacting her recent PT and performance. Outside of the two MBs, I am guessing all other starting/rotation positions will be up for grabs this week during practice until the next match on Saturday against KSU in Ames. Holthaus' front row spot should remain secure, but the number of REs she has been recently accumulating may end her spot on the back row.
