Question on Jack Trice Bleachers pre Sukup

Hello! I am trying to get the year the large aluminum bleachers were installed in the south endzone. By that I am talking about the version of bleachers just before Sukup Endzone was done.
I've found some history of JTS saying in 2002 permanent lighting and a large video board were added and I am thinking those nicer, higher capacity, aluminum bleachers were added about that time.
I am asking as my 101 year old mom and my father who is no longer living purchased their first season tickets that year. My mom purchased season tickets again for this year and was asking if I knew the year they started purchasing season tickets.

2025 NFL Draft

Didn’t find a thread on this yet, so figured I’d create one. Saw Kiper released his top prospects board.

He has Noel as the 10th-rated receiver and Porter as the 8th-rated CB. That would probably mean he expects 2nd or 3rd round for them.

I’m a little surprised he has Noel over Higgins. He doesn’t have any other Cyclones ranked in the top 10 at their position.

Ames Pet Shelter

A few weeks ago, Grant Mahoney gave the last five minutes of the "Kickin' It" podcast to talk about pets, including the new and improved Ames Pet Shelter. He is a great advocate for humane treatment of animals. However, he didn't emphasize that there is still a need for donations to finish funding the new shelter. Here are some links about the project and donating.

Every gift counts.

2028 Football Targets

Scholarships are going out to the rising sophomores. Might as well get this thread kicked off with a couple of local Iowa kids, right?

No idea if Carter is any relation to Dylan and Austin, who are from St. Charles, IL.

OT Pete Eglitis Commits

Big commit, literally! Someone got maple syrup? This guy loves pancakes!

Not sure if he’ll end up on the right or left side, but that’s what S&C is for, right?

Excellent get!

Acreage tips from the Fanatics

Just purchaced a new home just outside of Ames with 4.4 acres (3 small pastures, indoor riding arean w/ 6 horse stables, small outbuilding for hay/equiptment,)

I need any advise you can spare. We have never had an acreage and don't know the first thing about horses. We are planning on self care boarding the stables for a little bit of suplimentary income.

Eventually plan on having a horse or two of our own.

I am going to need to purchace a tractor for mowing/snow plowing, and areana maintenance. I am thinking a smaller tractor with a bucket and will need a grader for driveway. Hope to get one with a 60" mowing deck.

Anyway, any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Williams & Blum: Should the Big 12 consider the 4-4-2-2 model?

Chris Williams & Brent Blum dumb down the much talked about house settlement for the common fan. Plus, should the Big 12 consider taking two auto bids? All this and more presented by Mechdyne.

Williams and Blum Podcast

I may have to go back and re-listen, but I could have sworn that Blum made a comment that in most schools Olympic sport athlete won't be getting paid via the school and the new house ruling, but he said "at Iowa State they'll pay MBB, WBB, football, and in Iowa State's case, wrestling". I think it was around the 20 minute mark on Sundays podcast.

Is this true? Will the wrestling team be getting a small piece of that pie?

Kickin’ It: Best trash talkers, worst road trips, and more mailbag questions

Grant Mahoney and Jeff Woody opened it up to answer all of your questions about the biggest trash talkers they played with and against, their worst memories from away games, and their views on recruiting as a player. Talking NCAA settlements and more, courtesy of Kelderman Manufacturing.
