No lights4 pm is a terrible game time for a Tuesday, hard to get people there with work and school.
No lights so they don't have much choice.4 pm is a terrible game time for a Tuesday, hard to get people there with work and school.
They dont have lights. Im guessing why that is the early start4 pm is a terrible game time for a Tuesday, hard to get people there with work and school.

It is also spring, so night games could be absolutely frigid.
Missouri coach tried to campaign for it to move back a couple weeks but there was no momentum. Zero chance the southern schools will allow the northern schools to have a fair fightJust more reasons why the softball and baseball seasons should be moved back a couple months. The MLB Doesnt start their season the first week of Feb. there is absolutely no reason college does. Hell MLB spring training doesnt even start until the end of Feb. with opening day not until last week of March.
College softball and baseball should start the first week of April, and run until August. Hell you might actually see some more northern teams actually be competitive if the season was not completely set up to benefit southern teams.
If the season was moved back 2 months, lights would be almost completely unnecessary no matter when the game starts, and more people could attend more games that dont fall on the weekend. Hell if the season was moved back this game would be happening the middle of June not the middle of April.

School calendar means nothing.School calendar or some nonsense…I’m guessing
I’ve heard internships and job offers being a factor.School calendar means nothing.
Hell I heard them say BYU was already done for the year the other day, so them being done has no baring on the softball season.
The season goes into June as it is, and most if not all schools are done in May or before.
Most of the athletes are already on campus most if not all summer regardless.
Football practice starts long before classes start, Basketball crosses over 2 semesters regardless of some people graduating after fall.
Etc Etc.
School calendar might have mattered 100 years ago, but means absolutely nothing today.
Its all about the power of the southern schools wanting to keep it that way.
I’ve heard internships and job offers being a factor.
Yes.Well do you want to be an athlete or have job training?
