ISU Away FB Game - Baylor

Hello CF,
Our group is planning on attending the away game this season in Waco. I see that ISU just pushed out their email for away game tickets and figured I would come here first for suggestions. It looks as if Baylor jams away fans up in the corner of the stadium. Does anybody know if the alumni association does anything and Waco and if so will they be selling tickets?

Watching on television it seems there are plenty of empty seats at Baylor home games. Unless both teams are unexpectedly really good I would think it would be pretty easy to get tickets.

No they will not. I believe there is also limited tailgating parking lots. My Spn went two years ago. The gamecwas rainy and not full they sat in the lower bowl.

The DFW Cyclones normally get their hands on tickets. Tailgate is a great time too

Many of these groups who get tickets in the same allotment or similar sections. The DFW Cyclone Club usually puts on a pretty big spread just off campus across the street from the stadium.

Just make sure you hit the Czech Stop on your way from Dallas. I'd recommend a stop for a Hot Chubby on your way to and from the game!

They will have a Friday evening Happy Hour, tailgate about 4-blocks from the stadium with BBQ meal, and enable purchase of game tickets in their block.

When I went to a game in Waco (the year it was 100 degrees and Baylor wouldn't allow Iowa State to have tents for shade), yes, the visitor section was in a less than ideal corner, but plenty of empty seats I could have move to if I wanted. I enjoyed Waco. Went to the Mammoth National Monument (really cool), the Dr. Pepper Museum (pretty fun), the Mayborn Museum (one of the best on campus museums in the Big 12), and the Branch Davidian compound (interesting and somewhat moving). There is also a bunch of Chip and Joanna Gaines Magnolia stuff but I skipped all that nonsense.

I’ll be driving up from Houston for this game in the fall. The DFW & Hou alumni groups usually work together for games in Texas so I’ll keep an eye out and update the thread as we get closer.
