Turnsek hasn't officially signed yet and we could always add another player or two, but as it stands now here's the expected roster for next season:

Guards:
Arianna Jackson (5'9" returning Sr) -- Combo Guard
Freya Jensen (5'10" returning So) -- SG
Mya Babbitt (5'8" transfer Sr) -- SG
Ashleigh Connor (5'11" transfer Sr) -- PG
Sienna Harvey (5'10" transfer So) -- SG
Emilija Dakic (5'10" transfer So) -- SG
Reggi Spotts (5'8" juco Jr) -- Combo Guard
Macy Comito (5'10" incoming freshman) -- PG

Wings/Posts:
Evangelia Paulk (6'0" returning Sr) -- Wing
Alex-Anne Bessette (6'2" transfer So) -- Wing
Tjasa Turnsek (6'2" incoming freshman) -- Post
Gift Ezekiel (6'1" transfer Sr) -- Post

I'll update this post with any changes, and I'll put my thoughts in a reply.

Right now, I see this starting lineup:

PG: Connor (16.2 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 3.7 apg last season at LaSalle)
SG: Jackson (of course)
3G; Babbitt (16.1 ppg, 4.0 rpg last season at Kent)
W/F: Paulk or Bessette (11.3 ppg at Loyola) -- regardless of who is starting, both will likely get plenty of minutes
P: Turnsek (8.0 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 1.7 apg for the Slovenian senior team at EuroBasket qualifiers)

Comito will probably be the primary backup at PG. Jensen, Harvey, Spotts, and Dakic all come with question marks but should have a solid chance to prove themselves at 2G, 3G, or even 4G.

I assume Ezekiel will be the primary backup at post, although I could see Bessette or even Paulk defending the post with a small lineup depending on how effective Ezekiel is.

Still praying for a 6'3" or better post that can play defense. It would help our guards defensive play alot to have a post presence.

It appears the remaining target on Mred's recruiting tracker is Lijirin Doyinsola Modesayor. I have no idea where we sit with her, but at 11 pts, 7.3 reb on 23 mins, she might be what you are looking for.

I really started paying attention during the Ashley Joens years, so I don't have any idea what to expect with no stars on the team.

Watch her go through a complete conditioning program and slim down this summer. Something she apparently refused to do at ISU.

It would be shocking if that were to happen. At OSU that may be "the plan" but I suspect little change. It will be apparent to Coach Hoyt she will need to shoe horn Audi's style into the game plan. Happy to be proven wrong, and not disparaging anyone, just seeking clarity from past fact and making future predictions.

I assumed Harvey was a PG based on her highlights. Seems like we have several guards with some positional flexibility.

I keep hoping we can find a center. On Sunday on the on3 site (not sure how often they update) there were 11 players 6'5" or taller still in the portal and a number more 6'3". Many from smaller schools but I would take a chance on one as that height is needed.

It's possible. I mainly made assumptions based on stats.
Bill has normally had a ball dominant point guard that dribbles a lot, but from the highlights I’m not sure we have such a PG. Several guards that can run the point, but not similar in style to Jada, or Emily. Here is hoping that leads to more ball movement.

One other question, are we done recruiting? We usually don’t carry much more than 12 or 13.

Probably done in the backcourt. We could really use another body or two in the frontcourt. It's easier to carry fewer people when you know what you're getting out of most of them (barring injury) but there are a lot of unknowns on the roster.

From the Huskies Wire article announcing Harvey’s decision to enter the portal:

“Harvey averaged 3.8 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game in 23 appearances this season. She scored as many as 22 points on December 21 against Pacific, but did not play more than 10 minutes in a game after Washington's win over Rutgers on January 26.

It was a bit of a confusing season for Harvey, who entered Big Ten play as a backup point guard firmly in the rotation with 10 or more minutes against Northwestern and ranked opponents Michigan and Michigan State. But the Australian committed 37 turnovers and 28 fouls to only 19 assists. She had more than 2 assists just once, on November 28 against UC San Diego, a 5-assist performance in 20 minutes of action.”

37 turnovers to 19 assists would definitely send a backup PG tumbling down the depth chart - she’s young with a pretty solid history in youth international competitions - might be our best portal signing when all is said and done - Steve Nash with a pony tail!

No expectations out of the newcomers. However, I look forward to seeing Comito, Dakic, and Babbitt in actions -- two are "locals" and one for unknown reasons sounds intriguing.

I think it will be interesting to see if Spotts gets into the rotation. Does being an all American at a JUCO translate to the Big 12? We'll see! I'm pulling for her as she is from around my neck of the woods.

Also with the play new NCAA 5-year rule, do we think AJ might come back in 27-28?

How many power conference teams (or maybe any D1 team) have their tallest player at 6'2"? Seems like they're just going to get destroyed in the paint...

edit: Did a very quick Big12 roster search. 10 of the 15 schools had 26-27 rosters posted, and they all had at least one 6'3" or taller. Colorado has the most with 5. Using last year rosters for the other 5, they all had at least one, with TCU the most at 6.
