Iowa State picked up its second commitment on the offensive line out of official visit weekend on Tuesday in Dexter, Michigan’s Owen Winder.
The 6-foot-7, 305-pound prospect announced the news over social media Tuesday.
Winder chose the Cyclones over other offers from Kentucky, West Virginia, Duke, Georgia Tech, Akron, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Miami (Ohio), Toledo and West Virginia.
He slots in as the No. 104 offensive tackle in the class according to 247 Sports as well as the No. 24 prospect out of Michigan.
What it means: Winder joins Pete Eglitis as the second 6-foot-7 offensive lineman to put his name on the commitment list for the 2026 class. The addition brings the total in Ryan Clanton’s room to four this year, which is right around where they’ve been finishing under the offensive line coach.
The 2026 class: Iowa State’s class now sits at 14, with a few more expected in the coming weeks with the second official visit weekend coming up in the next few days.
