Against the spread record on the year: 28-24

West Virginia at Iowa State (-7) — Feels like this is the week that Iowa State snaps out of the zero column. What gives me hope? We saw a competent offense against Texas. I have no idea what last week was. This is truly a must-win if a bowl game is in play. It’s against a bad road team that is on the verge of firing its coach. Give me the good guys to win and cover.

THE PICK: Iowa State 28, West Virginia 17

Oklahoma State at Kansas (PK) — Last week’s 48-0 Cowboy loss at K-State was a perplexing of a Big 12 outcome as I can remember in some time. Mike Gundy teams don’t just lose games like that. Very out of character. Meanwhile, after a magical start, Kansas has lost three in a row as Jason Bean hasn’t been able to re-create what Jason Daniels had early in the season. Injuries are the key story here, as Oklahoma State has a TON of them.

THE PICK: Kansas 34, Oklahoma State 31

Texas (-2.5) at Kansas State — It kinda feels like the wrong team is favored here. Texas is 10-10 under Steve Sarkisian’s leadership. He was not an upgrade from Tom Herman, folks. I’m going to roll with the hot team. Give me the Wildcats in another massive home win.

THE PICK: Kansas State 28, Texas 27

Baylor at Oklahoma (-3.5) — Two teams that began the season as disappointments, but I figure will get stronger and stronger as we push towards December. I would not want to have Baylor or Oklahoma on the tail-end of my schedule. I think Baylor proved last week that they are undervalued by most bettors. I actually wasn’t that impressed with Oklahoma in its win over Iowa State, but still respect that offense against most teams. Give me Baylor outright.

THE PICK: Baylor 31, Oklahoma 28

Texas Tech at TCU (-8.5) — It feels like Tech is evening out, with its only win in the month of October coming at home against West Virginia. I keep waiting for somebody to truly scare TCU and it isn’t happening. Great win for the Horned Frogs last week in Morgantown. TCU keeps rolling but this one will be a solid three quarter game, in my estimation.

THE PICK: TCU 41, Texas Tech 24
