WBB: Iowa State No. 9 in latest AP Poll after splitting top 15 week

In a week that saw Iowa State face a pair of top 15 teams and split the result, the Cyclones dropped three spots in the AP Poll to No. 9.

The team faces four more games of Big 12 conference play in its chase to a regular season championship and No. 1 seed for the league’s postseason tournament in Kansas City next month.

Four Big 12 teams were ranked in the poll, including No. 5 Baylor, Iowa State, No. 11 Texas and No. 20 Oklahoma.

The Cyclones were also just a handful of votes behind No. 8 LSU – which beat Iowa State in December – and No. 7 UConn.

On Wednesday, the team will face off with Kansas – which received 39 votes and was the second team left out of the poll – in Lawrence.

The game is scheduled to tipoff at 7:00 p.m. on ESPN+
