RECRUITING: Iowa State offers 2024 South Dakota big man

Iowa State has extended an offer to one of the top players in South Dakota’s sophomore class.

JT Rock, a 7-foot tall Sioux Falls native in the 2024 recruiting class, tweeted he’d received the scholarship offer on Wednesday. Rock took an unofficial visit to Iowa State this past weekend for the Cyclones’ football game against Kansas.

Rock plays prep ball for Lincoln High School in Sioux Falls and plays for South Dakota Attack on the AAU circuit. He also holds a scholarship offer from South Dakota State and has at least received interest from Iowa with Fran McCaffrey having attended one of his high school team’s open gyms last month.
