Iowa State will host two highly-touted 2020 prospects for unofficial visits this weekend, a source tells Cyclone Fanatic publisher Chris Williams. Five-star center N’Faly Dante and four-star Michigan point guard Jalen Terry are both expected to be on campus in Ames.
Dante, who is 6-foot-11, 230-pounds and attends Sunrise Christian Academy in Wichita, Kan., is rated as the No. 9 player in the 2020 recruiting class by 247Composite. The No. 2 center in the class currently holds offers from Kentucky, Oklahoma, Kansas, LSU, Oklahoma State, St. John’s, Arkansas, Butler and Purdue.
The Mali native has participated in the NBAPA Top 100 camp and Basketball Without Borders so far this summer. He played in the U17 World Championships two years ago at the age of 14.
Terry, 5-foot-10, 155-pounds, is rated as the No. 25 player in the 2020 class by 247 and is regarded as the No. 3 point guard. Terry currently holds offers from Depaul and Iowa, has drawn interest from Michigan State and Michigan and attends Flint Beecher, the alma mater of former Iowa State star Monte Morris.
He was named a first-team all-state selection this past season after averaging 17 points, 5.3 assists and 4.4 rebounds per game.
These two visits come on the heels of Iowa State hosting four-star 2020 Minnesota forward Ben Carlson for an unofficial visit on Friday. He is the son of former Cyclone Marc Carlson.
