RECRUITING: Iowa State lands preferred walk-on from Texas

Iowa State has landed a preferred walk-on commitment from Cypress Woods (Texas) athlete Tory Spears, according to his Twitter account.

The 6-foot-4 wide receiver/safety is a member of the 2018 recruiting class. He appeared in only three games during Cypress Woods’ 4-5 2017 season due to injury, recording five tackles, one interception, one tackle for loss and 53 kick return yards.
