Florida CB Quran Hafiz decommits from ISU

Florida cornerback Quran Hafiz has long been considered Iowa State’s softest commit as he had scheduled, and taken, official visits to other schools. On Monday, he announced that he was fully reopening his recruitment and decommitting from ISU.

Iowa State will still get Hafiz’s last official visit during the weekend of Oct. 29. The 6-foot, 170-pound, defensive back visited Minnesota the first week of September.

He’s set to visit Oregon State, Indiana and Fresno State in the coming weeks before visiting Ames. The three-star prospect originally committed to the Cyclones on July 1.

Iowa State still has 19 commits in their 2017 class.
