AMES — They’re baaaack.
For the first time since last March, the Iowa State (9-1) basketball program is ranked in the top 10.
The Cyclones, who will host Mississippi Valley State (1-11) on Wednesday evening at 6, are ranked 9th this week in both the AP and USA Today Top 25’s.
Following the New Years Eve bout with the Delta Devils, the Cyclones will have one final tune-up before Big 12 play begins on Saturday against South Carolina (5 p.m. on the CBS Sports Network).
Iowa State is the highest ranked Big 12 team in this week’s AP poll, with Texas and Kansas being tabbed at 11th and 13th respectively.
