I don't think we ever had a great shot at him, but he obviously was at least somewhat interested as he "unofficially" visited last fall and made some great comments about McD. We at least made his first cut, but again, I am sure we were not even close to his top 3 or 4. Getting a good big man in that class is going to be a difficult task. I would like to get a "true" center in that class.
I don't know guys, it seems like McDermott is fighting with the big boys for most of his upcoming classes. He obviously believes he can get them, and I think he will. When you get up in that rarified air, you are going to miss some of them, but watch out with the ones he gets.

I wonder if TJ is connected with him because he is from California. Brackins was from California as well and I recall that TJ has connections to AAU ball in Cali. There is some decent You Tube footage of him. He doesn't mention us in the interview but that could be before we were recruiting him.
