That pretty well shows what we have all been thinking. This team plays hard and is smart with the basketball. We're probably a little better defensively at times, and way better at taking care of the ball.

I think it is interesting that blocks, steals, and turnovers are down for both ISU and its opponents. That may be an effect from the new foul rules. It may be that players are just not taking as many chances in trying to make blocks, or in getting steals.

Yes and I think the new rules really help out a team like ISU who's identity is more offensive spacing versus many of the muddle it up teams who play aggressive D and then work their shot clock.

Last year's team may have won 2-4 more games for all we know with similar rule enforcement

Still happy to see our Free Throw defense has improved from last year.

I agree, especially with the new rules. It would be interesting to see a free throw/foul comparison for all teams as well as nationally between this year and last year to this point. I would guess most teams have committed more fouls, not fewer.

Glad to see opponents FT % down 12% so far this year. Remember that ridiculous stretch last year where Ok and Ok St. went 52 out of 54 against us?
