I have been saying this all along. Red helmet, White top, Red pants is the BEST AWAY COMBINATION. CARDINAL is our main color, why not show it on the road also?

I agree. I don't mind the white pants, but I wish that was only an occasional alt look. I would even support white-white-white once per year (assuming white helmet actually surfaced), but keep cardinal-white-cardinal as the primary road look.

From a color theory perspective primary colors will stand out when on neutrals like black, gray and white. I believe that is why people enjoy the white uni's. (We have two primary colors on a background of neutral. Also basic contrast allows a red/yellow logo to be seen more clearly on something lighter than that same red as background). I also think that if we really want to own a neutral support color it should be some shade of gray. Gray being the base color of storm clouds and tornadoes.

I didn't really like the yellow jerseys. Not to mention we were wearing those the only time we lost a game when an opponent scored less than 24 under a Rhoads coached team.

Bad memories.

Your opinion would only be correct if we had white helmets to go with the white pants:

But as it stands

But upon further review. The white pants are more photogenic, but the cardinal pants are better looking on TV.

Wouldn't mind seeing the cardinal pants coming back for the away unis

I am the person who posted the pic and il basically kill this thread by saying while the jersey is new for the mascot squad I have not heard even a rumbling of the team wearing these during the season.

although I will state that I am beyond amped to get this on Cy... been wanting a yellow one for cy for a while. (Cy will still be wearing red pants)

Cy already has been wearing a yellow jersey. Did at TCU and I want to say at some of the home games. (don't ask me how I remember this)

If we change it up, cool. If we don't, cool. Never navy blue though. How many teams in the last 20 years have added a random dark color to their scheme?

As for the white pants. It is cool that the striping matches the jerseys. Otherwise they are two color stripes with one color stripes...and that's meh in my book.

The striping for home jerseys works because although the stripes are color inversed they are both single color striping.

As for the helmets, I know many hate the white, but the main reason I like the white is because we have a glossy red logo on a glossy red helmet. It doesn't pop like the rest of our jerseys do, with bold color changes from stripe to jersey. As for a compromise to those who want red, I propose the flat red helmet with the glossy logo. This would help the logo pop, while keeping the preferred color.

As for the logo itself, I wish we would lose the outlines and the bevels. It doesn't fit with the rest of our no outline scheme, and it is near impossible to appreciate the design elements in most viewings from a distance.

If we had gold jerseys, maybe, yellow, no. To the above poster, cy wearing a yellow jersey i always assumed its because cy is red and our cardinal jerseys look kinda funny on him. I wonder how much and how long till we get a new cy? I assume awhile because they look to be in good shape.

No gold jerseys...they were awful. I would be open to a white helmet...then maybe a gold jersey could work. There is a reason USC doesn't do it. Second, I would like to see the gold pants from the Iowa throwbacks a few years back v the mustard. Lastly, I am open to a stripe on the helmet to finish the look.
