Some Iowa fans are talking Fran is much better at developing front court players, like Garza, than Prohm.
That would make sense give Fran's track record of....Luka Garza....

White Uthoff Woodbury and Olaseni all left as the same player they were when they arrived. Unless you count Aaron White developing the ole 'flail at the basket for a foul' that most of Fran's players seem to master

Because he has had 1 big guy who developed (Garza) in 10 seasons lol?

By the way, I think SoYo guards Garza next year, not Foster.
Yes Garza returns next year, but he won't have a double-double against us, Prohm will make sure our guys realize this is of 'Superbowl' importance and we cannot tolerate three consecutive double-dig losses to a bunch of white guys who can't play D.

Xavier wants to get to the NBA and trusts ISU's staff to get him there thus signed to be a Cyclone. We know the recent guards Prohm the he gotten drafted and now Conditt is already being mentioned in 2021 mock drafts.
BTW XF will be at the game tonight.
@MatthewBain_ Four-star Iowa State signee Xavier Foster (@XaMan_10 ) will be at tonight’s game vs. Baylor, per source. Foster is averaging 22.3 points, 9 rebounds and 3.2 blocks per game for Oskaloosa.

Garza if a fine college player but in no means a NBA prospect, not a knock just a reality and he'll make a good living overseas.

Fran doesn't have any real track record getting his players to the NBA, and I don't feel Cook would be someone to point to. Weiskamp is an important development prospect if he wants to change that narrative and start getting 4 star players.

When he said ISU is better at putting guys in the NBA, they said they would have gotten there anyway. So basically coaches have zero impact on player development, unless they coach at Iowa.

To me it's more of that Luka grew into his body...not sure it's much from Fran.

Yeah it's too bad Prohm doesn't teach his posts to shove their way around to get layups.

Garza looks like he's come a long ways but even the other night he was still falling all over the place and his ability to do what he does offensively without getting multiple offensive fouls called a game is amazing.

(1.) They're not going to call them all.

(2.) Star players get the benefit of the doubt.
