Right now I have a Craftsman 4 stroke and it is starting to fail. I was at Sears looking last week and saw they had the Worx trimmer- anybody have one of these? I have seen their infomercial and was wondering if its as easy as they make it seem. I really like the fact that you have the versatility to change from a trimmer to an edger (which I would really like) and its battery operated. Really all I have to trim is an outside fence around my property and around my house in town.

I could always get a new Craftsman but then I would still have to deal with oil and gas and trimmer line changing all the time and buying a seperate attachment for the edger. Not what I am wanting to do right now.

TIA

Depending on the size of your yard and the amount of trimming, you might want to think about the battery. If it was me I would never use a battery trimmer. Mostly because I don't want to have to remember to charge the battery ahead of time, every time I want to trim my yard. Also I could see battery powered trimmers having some trouble on bigger weeds/thicker grass. Now if you're trimming a small yard in town, you might be perfectly fine. Just my two cents, but I've never really liked the electric/battery version of lawn/outdoor tools.

I use a Li-Ion Ryobi for my yard (1/4 acre) and it can easy get the whole thing done on one charge.
My parents had an Echo gas/oil unit and it had power but it would leave your hands shaking when done.

Battery trimmers are nice.
