I'm not sure why it is sorted this way upon initial view, but if you click the RPI column heading and sort by RPI instead, it actually puts ISU at 11

Edit: I guess it is initially sorted by "Lunardi's Preferred RPI Formula". Must be the worst formula ever!

Much like using KenPom for overall team rankings, when you have a nice elaborate formula that spits out asinine results like this your formula is garbage and should be ignored forever.

If in scientific modeling you generated a formula and ran a scenario that ended with the equivalent of Auburn being that high, unless you are moron you would scrap it and figure out why your model is so terrible.

Think climate change models where your predictions are half by 100%. Models are just models.

Here's the thing: RPI has NOTHING to do with how good you are. 75% of your RPI score has zero input to whether you won or lost.

Think about that. 75% of. RPI is blind to your performance.

The other 25% percent is blind to WHO you beat. Think about that. Beating Prairie View A&M is just as good as beating Kansas.

RPI is a horrible metric and is constantly misapplied. You should never look at it to try and decide who is better. At best, it's merely a strength of schedule rank.
