Do you keep an emergency bag in your vehicle (winter or all season)? What's in yours?

We have blankets, ice scrapers and ice melt in the vehicles, plus I bought a backpack to hold some of these items:

Folding shovel
Extra socks
Gloves
Yellowstone whiskey
Emergency blanket
Ponchos
Jump Starter power bank
Flashlights
Bandaids-antiseptic
Matches
Hand/foot warmers
Playing cards
Compass/whistle
Paracord
Masks & bandanas
TP
Trash bags

We just have blankets, jumper cables, and ice scrapers. Some other good ideas in your list...including whiskey.

Dry bag full of extra clothes, a blanket and a basic car roadside kit. Should keep a gallon of water too.

Food...I could use a few days of fasting if we're being honest.

I may revamp the car roadside kit, like get a small portable battery charger and put things in a smaller compartment/tote.

Not exactly sure.
I make sure there are scrapers, a brush of some sort for moving snow, jumper cables and a phone charger. My wife adds about 10 blankets and a light jacket for herself (no idea why that). The vehicles she drives, the back cargo area is usually half full of blankets so its tough if you go on a huge grocery run.

Are you planning on breaking down in the arctic?

I ditched the jumper cables a few years back and now have a battery pack/jumper combo. They are pretty small now a days.

How much do you have to charge them? Thinking about getting one for us and one for my oldest who know lives on his own.

I keep a roll of toilet paper in the back end of the SUV, that's it.

If I die from the cold, so be it but I will not put up with an itchy ass from not being able to sufficiently wipe if shitting in a snow drift.
If you put in trash bags you don't even have to wander outside into the snow.
My husband put it in there - said we should have something to drink!
Sounds okay, but a texas fifth may be a bit more than needed.

I charge it it up in garage fully maybe twice a year. It only loses maybe 1 of the 4 "battery LED light bars" by sitting and not being used.
Nice thing its its also a USB charge for phones and devices.

Water in a container that prevents it from freezing.
