I remember when I could listen to this with kids around. Now it’s as bad as the Iowa Everywhere pods I gave up on. Seems like an odd thing for people this age to constantly be so profane.
This. I caught my 4 year old smoking cigarettes and trying to open up a circa account on her iPad last night after listening to Williams and Blum.

I don’t like podcasts because they take longer than reading and it’s harder to tell if there’s something you are not interested in that you want to skip.

I guess if you know this is committing to profanity from the get go, it’s your choice. I tend to think people swear more when they are drinking a lot, and not really sure if that makes the information more or less reliable. Does it make the person exaggerate or does it loosen them up to be more forthcoming? I guess I would lean to not trusting their information as much.

I don’t care about the swearing, but this site has been pushed in the past as a “family” style site and mods will change your post along with things like the nickname for Richard being prohibited. Can we at least drop the family site charade?
On what planet is any college fan site family friendly?

Agreed, it’s time for @alarson to have a weekly GIF thread.

This….i used to do a national podcast and we always published podcast notes so those who didn’t want to spend the rime could just read the highlights. When and if I listen to these I def fast forward past all the non-essentials.

I could get on board the UConn addition if Yormark felt the ACC demise would happen before next Big12 TV contract is up for renewal in 2031. Having a Big12 East division with UConn, Syracuse, Pitt, WVU, Cincy and Louisville. More of a basketball juggernaut than football, but as a mega conference division would have strong rivalries among those school's fans.

Agree with BB & CW, UConn seems like a great fit in BigEast, but the money would be tough to pass up. They probably make between $5-10M today in BigEast and CFP money. With both those deals up for renewal prior to 2026, I would expect UConn's TV money to grow to between $10-15M annually. A full Big12 share of conference and national championships TV money will be closer to $60M annually.

It would be tough for UConn to bypass that money, especially since their athletic department traditionally runs annual deficits in the $40M range.

Wait, was the swears complaint not trolling? I had my hopes up yet all I caught was C-Dub catching himself almost dropping an f-bomb.

My lord in heaven, who gives a ****. He had a problem with the casual, drinking, swearing, feel of the podcast. Personally, I don’t like it either. Not because it is not family friendly, but I think it cheapens the quality of the product. But, back to my first sentence, who cares what I think either. Listen, don’t listen. I doubt you are going to miss any mind blowing revelations in the weekly podcast. It’s just not what they are trying to do.

I also could care less about UConn. Come to the Big 12 or don’t. We should be focused on making the best product, any team not wanting to be a part of that should find another conference.

I assume it was podcast highlights, not full transcript? Just curious.

I've said in the past I'd be willing to do a roundup like that for CF podcasts, if there was any budget for it. I think it'd be useful.

If your kid is in school, at any age level, they are hearing MUCH worse things at school and on the bus than anything that’s been said on this site or on the podcasts.

Live in reality folks.

And it's been that way for decades.

School, church, hanging around the neighborhood, whatever.
